"Brook?" I felt a warm hand gently shake my shoulder as I continued to snore softly.
"Mmm?" I shrugged the hand off and lazily rolled onto my side.
"C'mon, get up" The voice was a little foggy as it continued to rant on endlessly." Brook I meen it! You have to get up remember? You have to meet that Clicker in the forest in exactly...ten minutes." I shot up and sprang out of bed as adrenaline raced through me. Ten minutes!? Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy...
"My clothes!" I practically screeched in Joshes face as I shoved him out of the way to get to my closet.
"Whoa calm your horses-" I ignored Josh as he stood talking non stop in the middle of my room. I rummaged through my clothes before I settled on some tights and a loose Mickey mouse T-shirt. I frantically shot up to my feet and all but shoved Josh out of my room, locking the door behind him.
I pulled on the tights and T-shirt in recorded time, before running downstairs and rushing into the kitchen to grab something to go. I snatched an apple and threw on my sneakers before rushing outside to leave.
"What the-" I nearly trampled Lizz as I shot through the door. I muttered a unheard 'sorry' and rushed off into the woods.
The trees wizzed by in a blur and the wind wipped my hair into my face as I dodged twigs and roots skillfully. My thighs were beginning to burn as I neared our meeting spot. I dodged a low hanging branch before stopping.
I looked around for the Clicker and saw he wasn't here. Go figure. I blew a lock of hair out of my eyes before sitting on a nearby tree stump to catch my breath.
"Hey" I looked up startled to find the Clicker leaning casually on a birch tree with a smirk. I returned the favour with a growl I've been holding back. He chuckled and peeled himself off the tree, and in a flash he was sitting by me. On instinct I jumped up and let loose my fangs and claws.
"Your a little jittery there dog. Got a bad case of the fleas?" The Clickers eyes glittered with amusement as he let loose another stupid smirk.
"Let's just get this over with Clicker" I bared my fangs in a unsaid threat.
"Micky Mouse? Seriously? Most girls would dress better than that when they go on a date with me" I clenched my jaw and ignored his snide comment. Ha! Ya right.
"Listen up you stupid piece of waste" I crossed my arms and made sure I had his attention before continuing. "I have no weaknesses-" He snorted and rolled his eyes while motioning for me to stop.
"OK listen dog, everyone has a weakness, alright? So don't be shy to say it aloud. Hey! Even I have a weakness! So go on and share openly." I fumed at his nonchalant attitude and continued what I was about to say.
"Before you so rudley interrupted me.." I gave the Clicker a pointed glare before continuing. "I was about to say, 'I have no wealkneses that I know of ' ok?" The Clicker sat there for a moment thinking, before he got up and started to walk away.
"Hey! Were do you think your going?" I couldn't help but wince at the desperation in my voice, as I marched after him.
"You don't know your weaknesses, correct?" He talked without the slightest glance in my direction, as we passed a couple more trees to enter a open field.
"Um...ya?" I chewed my bottom lip nervously as we stood in the center of the field. The Clicker turned to face me and gave me a smirk.
"So we'll fight, and I'll learn your weakness's" He said it like it was no big deal, but to me it was so a big deal.
"No, I'm not going to fight you! You'll learn more than just my weaknesses" The Clicker raised an eyebrow and shrugged a little.
"Fine." I was taken off guard by his respounce and started stuttering.
"Uh-um-your--what?" I furrowed my brows as his eyes silently laughed at me.
"I said fine" He repeated it slowly as if I were stupid. Which I suppose I was. At the moment anyways.
"Um,ok" I turned away and started to head back, when I fell face first in the dirt. What the he-
"Oops, sorry my foot slipped" I could hear the smile in the Clickers voice as I pushed myself up from the dirt. Why that little-
A pain shot up the side of my back causing me to yell out in surprise. I whipped around to find the little punk smiling at me.
"Aargh!" I let out a frustrated yell before pouncing on top of him. I pinned his arms by his head and held on to his bottom section with my legs.
"What was that for!?" I practically spit the words in his face, causing him to flinch. Good.
"You wouldn't fight me" He stated it simply like it was obviose. I brung my face close to his until there was only an inch left.
"You said I didn't have to!" I yell a bit to loudly, and here the flutter of birds in the distance.
"No, I said, and I qoate 'fine'" He smirks and his silver eyes sparkle with barley contained laughter. I flush with anger and tighten my grip on his wrists.
"I hate you" I say it low enough so he could here the deep threat behind my words.
"I love you too" his response startles me, and I jump back off of him and blush, as he rolls with laughter.
"You should of saw the look on your face!" The Clicker manages to talk between gasps of air.
"Be here tommoro Clicker " The last part leaves a bitter taste in my mouth as I turn and jog back towards my home.
"Bye, my love!" I grunt in annoyance at the Clickers remark, and hear another rumble of laughter as I leave.
