*Brooks dream*

Everything was black and white, blurred or cleared, loved or hurt, taken or left, silver or hazel.

"I love you babey. Remember that." Tears streamed down my face as my mothers frail form lay on the blindingly white hospital bed.

"D-dont go like daddy did" I clutched my mothers hand tighter, in hopes that I could trap her sole in and not let it out. My mothers eyes sparkled with unshed tears.

"I'll never go honey. Never. Not if you don't forget about me, and you can't do that. Wanna know why?" I watched in pain as a stray tear fell down her thin cheek.

"W-w-why?" I swallowed down the lump in my throat and clasped both hands on my mothers.

"Because I'll forever be in your heart babey. No matter what" my mother lifted a frail hand and swiped away the remaining tears on my cheeks.

"I love you mom" I leaned over and kissed her forehead softly.

"I love you too honey" And then the room went silent at the sound of a beautiful loving heart going still.

"No! Mom, come back! Mom!" I felt someone lift me off the ground and haul me into the waiting room, where I received pitying looks from both onlookers and staff.
