"Hurry up!" I pounded on the bathroom door in annoyance just as Luke passed by me. He gave me a weird look before continuing down the hall towards the smell of breakfast.

"Hold on Brook! Yeesh." Joshes voice sounded smug on the other end of the door.

"I can't!" I snapped back at the door, and avoided thinking about fluids.

I heard a flush and then tap water running on the other end of the door.

"Get out now!" I screeched at the door and gave it a hard kick. I distinguished Joshes chuckle from the running tap water. After a few more minutes Josh strutted out and let me do my business.

I gave him the finger before rushing into the bathroom. After I was done I followed the tempting smell of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Mmmm.

"Jeeze Brook, what took ya so long? What were you doing, digging a tunnel to China?" Josh snickered at his hilarious joke. I on the other hand, wasn't so amused. I rolled my eyes and took my seat by Lilly.

"So...Brook, first day of school. Excited?" I glanced up and made eye contact with a grinning Josh.

"School?" I furrowed my brows in confusion, and shifted my gaze to Luke.

"I enrolled you in school. Its about time you go" Luke's tone was firm and final, as he held my dumbfounded gaze with steady eyes.

"What-wait, that's...no!" I jumped up from my seat, nearly tipping it over in the procces. I pointed an accusing finger in Luke's direction, and continued with my rant.

"I'm not going to school Luke! Remember what happened last time? Do you Luke! Cause I sure as hell do!" My breath became heavy and ragged, as my mind filled with the past memories. All the images shined clear and deadly, as they all had one thing in common. Blood.

"Yes Brook I remember. But you have to move on, and get over it. The past is the past" Luke's jaw clenched and unclenched as he remained calm and seated.

"Easy for you to say Luke! Your not the one who killed someone that day! I did, Luke. I did" I said the last part in a soft whisper, as tears threatened to pour down my face.

"You have to go to school Brook. That's final." Luke stood from the table and gave me a hard look before retreating away into the living room.

"And if I don't?" The words slipped out of my mouth before I could take them back. Luke froze, and without turning around, gave me my answer.

"Because if you don't, I'll kick you out of this pack"

"Remember students! Quiz on Friday!" I ignored Mr. Hayze, like everyone else, and gathered my things and pushed out the door to head to lunch.

"Hey!" I ignored the familer voice and walked on, sure it wasn't meant for me.

"C'mon, slow down!" I picked up my pace, and weaved threw the crowd of students.

"Fine, you brought this on yourself" I took two more steps, before I felt a foot sweep under mine, causing me to release my books and fall flat on my face. Spurts of laughter and whispers erupted around me, as I picked myself up and gathered my books.

"Hey, I told you to slow down" I glanced up and nearly choked on my own spit. Clicker. I resisted the urge to growl and tear him to shreds, as I continued to take my time picking up my books.

"Surprised to see me here, or just to completely flattered that I'm talking to you to speak?" His cocky attitude just made it more hard not to kill him on the spot. But I learned my lesson before...
