Mnemosyne's Wrath

Chapter 7

Annabeth pov:

After the strange woman took off with Percy we all went into calm panic mode.

We don't know who she is or how she managed to sneak into camp without anyone noticing earlier. But we do know that she is strong.

Like that helps.

"Quick somebody alert Chiron!"

Once Chiron had arrived, we all started to talk over one another, telling him what had happened, even the cleaning harpies joined in.

"EVERYONE STOP!"

We all stopped.

Chiron continued, "Annabeth tell me what happened. Everyone else clear out and do not repeat a word about what happened here."

I started to speak.

"I heard a commotion from Percy's cabin and i was worried. I gathered some others and we all rushed to Percy's cabin. That's when we all rushed to his cabin and we saw a woman putting percy in a bottle-."

"I'm sorry but did you say a bottle?"

"Yes i did, she put him in a bottle and she flew away with him."

I started to panic, i didn't know who she was or why she needed Percy.

I had a strange gut feeling that this had to do with the nightmares I received but I couldn't be quite sure. I know that I will have to tell Chiron about these nightmares but I couldn't be quite sure.

"Umm Chiron? There's something i need to tell you. I've been having these nightmares and I think it might be the same woman who took Percy, even though i couldn't see her clearly today she still gave me the same vibe as when she was in my nightmares, i was supposed to tell Percy but i couldn't because h-he suddenly disappeared and i don't know what to do and-." I stared to stammer and break down.

"Calm down Annabeth. You are a daughter  of Athena, you know how to use your brain in more ways than anyone else, you will definitely find a way to get him back. Did you remember anything about the woman in you nightmares, how she looked, what she was wearing etc."

"Well she was in pretty dark colours, i couldn't really see much but i could see a sign of Mount Pieria, well i think it was Mount-."

"Wait, child, did you say Mount Piera?"

"Umm yes, I did."

I had no idea what was going on that old mind of his. But knowing him, he would probably have an idea about who that woman was.

He said to me, "come quickly Annabeth, we have a lot to discuss, we must go to the big house."

We left for the big house, i wasn't used to going there at night, more so in the daytime.

We entered and he started scrolling through some records. They looked old and the pages were yellowing. "What are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for a story."

" a story? Really Chiron? Percy's gone and you want to look for stories?"

"Ah! Found it, sit down Annabeth, let me tell you something."

"Oookkk??"

"When Gaea created the skys and everything, she also gave birth to chilren yes?"

"Yes,"

"Well can you remember who those children were?"

"Well for first Kronos." I would never forget him he was the reason Luke died, "there was also Hyperion, Iapetus, Oceanus, Rhea, Themis, Tethys, Phoebe and Theia?"

"Yes but you have forgotten one."

"There's another one?"

" yes, there is,  she isn't well known but she is important all the same. Mnemosyne, Titaness of memory, she was also one of Kronos's siblings but she was always overlooked."

"What does this have to do with anything?"

I was really starting to get frustrated now, my mind was filled with thoughts of Percy being hurt and it messed with my mind.

"You said you saw Mount Pieria right? Well, Mt Pieria is one of her symbols, although i don't know what her plan is with Percy, I do know that he is in trouble for she is very old but very  powerful."
