Part 25

It was good to be home, Lyra lay back on her sofa and sighed heavily. The day had went so fast, as soon as she saw that shield she left. She couldn't handle it anymore, she had to leave. So she did, she left Bucky and Sam and got back a couple of hours ago.

An alarm started to go off and Lyra groaned standing up, she walked over to the security tapes seeing Bucky banging
Down the door. She placed her ear piece on and sighed.

"Bucky you aren't getting up" he looked up at the camera and shrugged dramatically. "Let me in Lyra I can go all night" he cracked his neck and started to bash the door again. Lyra finally gave in and opened the gate for him.

He marched into the headquarters ands she met him downstairs. "What do you want?" She asked.

"Why haven't you replied to me or Sam?" She held her chest as she breathed out lightly remember the night of John Walker killing a man.

"I just can't help anymore I'm busy here" she threw her hands up in the air motioning the headquarters. "Lyra we need you" she shook her head rolling her eyes, as she headed there the building picking up files.

"Listen I have to know where everyone is and when, unfortunately that includes outer space, so forgive me if I seem slightly busy" he pulled the files out of her hand dropping them on the floor.

"Sam needs us" she tilted her head to the side and sighed. She looked down at the files and used one of her hands to rub her face.

"Bucky I need to be here" he took a seat at the table and leaned back. "Then I'll stay too" she laughed loudly and took the seat across from him. "You can't sit for two seconds, never mind staying here with me"

"I just want to have a normal life Lyra, I want to be with you!" He stood up and walked away and she followed him.

She grabbed a hold of his arm. "Bucky nothing about our lives is normal, I went from a bad assistant for Captain America to owning the avengers headquarters. You went from a Sargent, to a a HDYRA agent without knowing back to a person, who is no longer a Sargent" he looked down smiling slightly and she looked down at the glove still over his hand.

"You don't need to be ashamed off who you are Buck" she slowly slog the glove off his hand, and he looked down at the piece of metal he called an arm. She grabbed his other hand and he leaned her forehead on his.

"Let's go help Sam" she leaned back and he nodded. "I have something I have to do first" she titled her head and he pulled her in and held her head. "I love you Lyra" she looked down smiling slightly and his arm played through her hair.

"I love you too Bucky" he pulled her in and kissed her passionately, she smiled kissing him back. She pushed him away slightly and rolled her eyes. "Come on" she grabbed his hand and they left heading towards Sam.

Lyra looked at the package sat on her lap, and smiled as she looked at Bucky. "He's going to love this" she closed it over and Bucky smiled at her grabbing her hand.

They arrived shortly after seeing Sam on the boat, Lyra smiled over at him. Bucky grabbed her hand giving it a slight squeeze and the got out of the car.

Bucky quickly helped someone with a part of the boat, before taking the package of Lyra and headed over towards Sam's sisters Sarah.

"Just dropping this off. You can sign for it and I'll go. I called in a favor from the Wakandans." Bucky sat down the package infront of Sam, and he put down his tools pulling Lyra into a hug.

"You okay kid?" She rolled her eyes pushing him back a bit. "Sam I'm the same age as you" he laughed and looked at Bucky.

Sam went back down to his work and tried pulling out a piece of metal from his boat. "Hold on you gotta go up" Bucky pulled the metal up the other direction and chucked it down.
