Things should of never played out the way they did... The date was the 19th of the 4th and we should of just stayed home, Then everything would be okay.
"(Kyoka, The gang and I are going out to the grounds, You and Momo wanna tag along?)" Bakugou stood in the doorway as I lay in Momo's arms, he hadn't even knocked before opening the door. "Like right now?" I looked up at Momo, who was obviously thinking of going whether I came or not. Bakugou nodded "(In a couple of minutes, yeah)". Momo nodded and looked down at me for reassurance "{Sure, why not? We'll come along}". Minutes went by as we made sure everyone had their gear and and packed, ready for a day full of training. "=Denki stop that already, Give Kyoka her boots back!=" The room was filled with laughter as Denki ran from me as I tried to grab my boots out of his hands. Once I reached him, I managed to tackle him grabbing my boots "{You ass!}". He laughed "-Come on, you know I had to mess with you. It's been so long since you came to training with us!-". I couldn't help my face from lighting up as I smiled and I looked back up to Momo, who sat in one of the chairs as she watched Denki and I, her eyes filled with love. She smiled when she noticed my gaze and I couldn't help but smile back, she waved her face like a beam of sunshine. ">Everyone ready to go?>" Everyone yelled their excitement as we all made our way out the door.
It took around an hour before we reached the grounds, the car ride full of yelling over what songs to play as Denki kept trying to grab the aux cord off people. Once we arrived we all helped carry each others gear over to the only part of cover on the oval. "(Not there, over here Deku!)", The placed echoed with conversation after conversation as the group yelled in excitement and at each other. "You all good Kyoka?" I jumped slightly when I felt Momo's arms wrap around me from behind, but as soon as I heard her voice I sunk into her embrace "{I'm good, How are you feeling?}". I could feel Momo's heart beating fast, The last time we had been here one of the castles hitmen had tried to assassinate me "A bit nervous, But I'll be fine". I lifted my head up to give Momo a kiss on the chin and I felt her grip on me tighten "{I'll be fine, I promise}". And It was true I would be fine...
A couple of hours went by, with nothing but Denki harassing me as he kept trying to shock me whenever I wasn't looking. He soon learnt that Uraraka was the one who kept throwing pebbles at his back whenever he got to close to me and soon went after her. Bakugou and Deku kept chasing each other around, each time trying to one up each other but it was clear to see how fun it was for both of them. Everything was amazing before we heard it...
A loud explosion that was even louder than Bakugou's, to the point it had even scared him. Momo had pushed me behind her, and I could feel her heart rate quicken "What in the world was that!?". The whole group had turned their attention to the noise and no one had any clue of what it could of been until Kirishima yelled out "*Look, Over there*". Everyone turned their attention to where Kirishima had pointed, the sky was covered with a thick, dark smoke. It was like nothing any of us had ever seen "(What the fuck..)". We all stared at the smoke until something flew out, almost hitting Deku who managed to doge out of the way just in time "<What the?!>". Deku picked up the arrow, which had a small piece of paper attached to it, a look of concern on his face "-Well what does it was say!-". Deku turned to face the group, his face growing with concern ">Morning hero's, Up for a little game...>". A wave of panic was sent through the group and Deku spoke "(What the hell, who does this person think they are!)". I had never heard Bakugou's voice so panicked before, I grabbed onto Momo's arm trying to ground myself "Guys I don't think they're joking, whoever wrote this had intended to shoot Deku". Bakugou's face grew stern "(We've had enough of a warm up, Deal with this situation like its a real attack, we can't doubt this person's power)" and with Bakugou's words the group spilt up, quickly running back to the shed to grab whatever gear they had left "Go get your stuff, I'll go ahead". I tried to grab onto Momo's arm but she pulled it away "I'll be fine go, get your stuff" and with that she started to run into the cloud of smoke. I sprinted back towards the other, quickly pulling on my gear "{Momo went ahead, we better hurry!}". It took at least two minutes for me to get my gear up and running, but even those two minutes where to much time. Denki had waited for me and once I had finished with my gear we sprinted back to the oval, the cloud of smoke starting to clear up. There was at least ten or more other people who where fighting my friends, I looked around making sure everyone was doing okay and thats when I noticed that Momo was no where to be found "{Denki, I can't see Momo}". I heard him huff "-Shit.. Go look for her, I'll tell the others!-". He ran into the smoke and I followed shortly after, As I ran I looked left and right making sure I hadn't passed Momo already. I almost gave up before I saw her lying in a bush.. Blood covering her chest. I ran as fast as I could over towards her, my lungs aching at the lack of breath "{Momo!}". As I got closer I could make out an arrow that suck out from her chest, vines protruding from it. I fell to her side, trying to tug the vines off "No don't! Kyoka, They're poisonous". I felt tears prick my eyes, in her lap lay the first love note I had given her "{I have to try and help!}". She lifted her hand and brought it to mine, her skin ice cold. I lifted my other hand to cup her face, trying to rub the blood off from her lips but instead just smearing it across her beautiful face "Its too late Kyoka.. I can feel it". Tears now streamed from both her eyes and mine "{No it can't be, I'll save you I promise!}". Momo was loosing conscience as the seconds passed, I could tell by the look in her eyes she didn't have long left but I couldn't just give up on her! "It's fine, Its okay... I'll die anyway" I felt anger grown in my stomach at her words, she was just willing to give up that easily. "{No, I won't let you! You can't leave me Momo!}". I held her close, resting my head on her shoulder, I could hear her heart beat slow by the second "I love you Kyoka Jiro.. I always have..". She smiled at me once again before I felt her take her last breath, I looked up at her face, tears now streaming down my face. I felt a mix of anger and sorrow mix inside of me and I screamed. "=Kyoka!=" Mina came running from the other side of the bushes and her eyes widened as she saw Momo, who lay in my arms not moving "{She's gone, S-She's gone!}". The look on my face must of showed her that I wasn't mucking around "=Shit!=". Mina ran over to my side, as she tried to pry me off of Momo's lifeless body all while calling out to the group to retreat. I remember the picture of Kirishima carrying Momo's body and rushing her to the car while Mina and Denki held me back, Hugging me as tightly as they could, trying to calm me down. But how could I be calm when she was gone, when I had listened to her heart stop... We eventually got back to the dorm and when we did Mr. Aizawa awaited us at the door of the dorm building. He hugged me when we approached and thats when I knew she was really gone for good and I broke down in tears.
Mina sat on Momo's bed as I lay where we had last been together, her smell still lingered on the sheets "=Kyoka.. I'm so sorry..=". I couldn't even respond, the lump in my throat wouldn't allow me to. There was a soft knock on the door before Denki entered holding a bag of food and the last hoodie Momo had worn "-Hey Ky, Mind if I sit for a bit?-". Both Denki and Mina stayed with me the whole night before we all fell asleep...
