Your Pov:

My Mom was flipping through a photo album with me sat next to her. "Who's that?" I ask as I saw a blonde hair boy sat next to a girl on the swings.

She sighed and looked at me. "Well. That boy. Was your childhood friend. More like best friend." She laughed. "You two would do everything together." She looked down at the floor. "That is until we moved to America. Then we all came back, to Australia, and of course you guys were slowly losing contact. But you were in a car crash. And lost your childhood memory."

I nod slowly. That was a lot to take in. "What was his name?"

She smiled, "Ryan. So I've heard, his a lifeguard down at Bondi." I smiled. "Why don't we go down there tomorrow? And see if we can find him?"

I smiled weakly. "But I won't remember him. So it'll be awkward."

"Bonds can be mended y/n dear. I wouldn't worry about it." She smiled softly, before turning back to look at the old photo album on her lap.

Maybe she's right.

I immediately turned over when I heard my alarm. "Ughhhh!" I groan into my pillow. I sat up remembering who I was seeing today.

Instantly, I felt nervous.

What if he doesn't like me?

Will I remember him?

What if he doesn't remember me?

Nonsense y/n. It'll be fine. I reassured myself and got out of bed. I pulled out some plain shorts and a black strapped top which I tucked into my shorts. I curled my hair and stared at myself in the mirror.

I heard giggling behind me and quickly turned around. "Hello." A little girl was stood a few metres away from me.

"Who are you?"

"You." That made no sense but okay. "I am you silly." She giggled cutely. "Do you remember our promise?"

I turned to look at the door. I sighed. I stared at where the little girl had been stood.

God sakes.

I rubbed my temples before going to answer the door. "You ready?" My mom was stood there with a huge smile... And. A camera?

"Mom." I groan. "Why are you holding a camera?" She laughed. "For the memories of course. Now hurry up." I sighed. I walked back into my apartment and grabbed my small shoulder bag.

We began our walk to Bondi. My nerves were now all over the place. I didn't know what to do. What if I didn't recognise him? What if he doesn't like me? What if it's to awkward.

I noticed my mom was stood in front of me. "Are you coming or what?" She asked me in an annoyed tone, which told me to hurry up.

I walked up to the door tower door and my Mom pushed me in front, indicating with her head to knock on t the door.

Here goes nothing.

Whippets Pov:

*Ryan Mate. We have a Y/n up in the tower for you.*

Harrison looked at me and wriggled his eyebrows. "Didn't know you knew anyone called y/n."

I laughed. "I don't..." Although. I did. But it wouldn't be her.

I walked up to the tower and walked into the room. "Yes. I'm originally from here but moved to America." I noticed the voice and quickened my pace.

There she stood. Right in front of me. Same hair colour, that stopped at her shoulders. The same small, pearly, coloured eyes. The same cheeky smile.

"Y/n. I've missed you." I smiled opening my arms for her.

She cringed at it. "I um..." She looked quite flustered and didn't know what to say. Behind her was her mom. How strange? What was she doing here?

"What's your Mother doing here?"

She looked at her mom then at me. Well. This isn't awkward. "What's going on?" Y/n looked upset now. "Y/n are you okay?"

"I'm sorry." She whispered, fleeing the tower. I looked at her Mom who looked back at y/n. The boys looked at me with sympathetic looks. I looked around annoyed.

Jethro's Pov:

"Is anyone going to tell me what's going on?!" Whippet asked in confusion and slight anger.

Y/n Mom looked at him and touched his arm gently. "Ryan dear. Y/n was in a car crash and lost some of her memory."

"What?" He whispered.

"I was showing her pictures of you yesterday and..." That was all she could say because he ran out. Literally ran out. I looked at Chapo who smiled weakly.

"He'll be okay."

"I know I know."

"You know." Chapo began. "His never spoken about y/n. But we knew he had a childhood best friend because we'd spoken about it before. But he never mentioned a name."

Y/n Mom smiled slightly. "Yeah. I didn't really know how to tell her if I'm being honest."

Your Pov:

I walked down the path looking out towards the sea. This was wrong. I shouldn't have came here today. Would he even-?

"Y/n! Please! Wait!" I turn around to see Ryan, running towards me breathing heavily. "You - You remember me don't you?" He stood up straight now.

"I - I'm sorry Ryan. I don't. I don't know who you are." His hands fell down his face in sadness. He began to mumble no.

"No. No!" He shouted loudly with a foolish laugh, making me step back. "You must remember." His eyes widened. "Our promise?" I looked at him confused. "Please tell me you remember our promise?"

"What promise?" A tear fell down his cheek and in that moment, I knew I meant so much to him, as did that promise. I laughed, "One of those baby promises? Oh I promise to love you forever." I laughed, mimicking it.

He just stared at me. "You've changed y/n."

I laugh. "What did you expect? For me to stay a small 11 year old?"

"This isn't any y/n I know. My Y/n would try and remember." He exclaimed turning around.

"There is no your y/n anymore!" I shout making him turn back around. "I lost my memory ryan. And I'm so sorry that I can't remember who you are. Maybe it'll come to me." I cried.

He just stared at me. Like he wanted nothing more to do with me. "Yeah let's hope." He spat.

To be continued... 😏
