I'm kind of freaking out. I can't exactly go accusing visiting dignitaries of a hate crime. I have no evidence! I need to go about this logically. The evidence must be on the note. On the note...that gives me an idea. Luckily I haven't touched the note. Careful not to ruin the evidence, I put the note in a plastic bag. I explain to Mom what happened and tell her I'm going to report it to the police.

Mom and I go into the station and go up to the desk. I say "I need to report a hate crime." The man sitting at the front desk says "First door on the left. Go right in."

"Thanks." I walk in the door and see a police officer, whose name tag says Officer Green, working at her desk. I explain my situation to her and say "I'm thinking that you should check for DNA on the paper and see what we find."

"That's a good idea. Stay here for a few minutes. I'll test the paper and I'll tell you the results when I get them."

A few minutes later the officer comes in and says "The DNA on the paper is from someone named Vincent Noche, according to the computer. According to the news, Vincent Noche is a young Warriarcian noble and he's currently at the governor's mansion. If your family is going to press charges, we can go there now."

"We should."

Mom drives to the mansion, following the police car. I walk in with my mom. Someone who works in the mansion says "Tour groups are gathering over there."

I reply, "We're not here for a tour." The police officer shows her badge and says "We're here to see the Noche family."

The man explains that the Noches are in a meeting room. We all go there. Officer Green says, "I'm sorry to interrupt your meeting. I'm Officer Green from the Aurum Police Department." She turns to a boy with dirty blonde hair and says "Vincent Noche, you are under arrest." Vincent tries to look innocent and asks, "What did I do?" Officer Green says "You committed a hate crime against this young woman. Do you recognize this?" Officer Green holds up the bag with the evidence. Vincent's father says, "Vincent is allowed to do whatever he wants! He's a prince! You can't do anything to stop him!"

Officer Green says "The law can. Warriarcians in Celestia have to obey Celestia's laws. You are in some hot water, Vincent." Officer Green puts handcuffs on Vincent. She leads him to her car and takes him to the police station. Chances are he'll get bailed out by the end of the day but he probably won't be committing any more crimes now that he knows he's not above the law.
