Something Unexpected

Chapter 3

I walked out of the room walk over to a chair and sit down , watching all the people as they walk around.

I must have hit my head I thought. This can't be real, it's just not possible. There's no way I met Hayes Grier, there's no way he caught me and there's no way he cleaned my arm .

I pulled my legs and put them on the chair and drop my head into my hands. I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes. My head is killing me and so is my arm. I don't know what's wrong with me,all I want to do is go home.

I stood up and pulled my phone out of my back pocket to call for a taxi. I put in the number and was about to press the call button when my phone was janked out of my hand.

''Hey, give that back!''

I turned around to see Kate standing there, my phone in her hand.

''What?you thought you could disappear for an hour and then call a taxi to go home?''

I stared back at her. Was I really gone an hour? It didn't seem like an hour but I wasn't really paying much attention to the time sense I was with Hayes.

''Rachel have you been listening to a word I just said?''

I looked back over to Kate not releasing she had been talking.

''Emm.. of course I have''

Kate looks at me and laughs a little.

''You're a terrible liar,you know that right?''

I laugh as well,she can always tell when I'm lieing.

''So why are you going home?,did something happen?''

With that I preceded to tell Kate about meeting Hayes and everything that happened. After I finished telling Kate about what happened she stood up and began to walk away.

''Wait,where are you going?''

She turned around and said ''To find you a doctor because I think you need a brain scan''. I sighed

''I'm being serious Kate''

''I know,so am I''

She laughs than takes my arm pulling towards the crowds.

''Where are we going?'' I asked.

''Well lets see,where at VidCon with all these YouTubers and there right down that hall so take a guess''

Well she didn't have to be such a smart ass about it. We walked throw the double doors that lead to where they all are. I look around the room too only make eye contact with the one person I was trying to avoid.

As Hayes made his way over I tugged on Kates hoddie and she turned around.

''Let's go''

She nearly spat out her drink in surprises.

''What?! Why?''

I look over and see Hayes is getting closer.

''I just really want to go,please?''

She looks at me for a minute then nod. We walk out of the room and head to the front door.

''Do you want to sit for a while?''

I look over to her and sigh.

''No I'm fine, lets just go''

We walk out of the building and try to get a taxi. I look up and down the street in search of a one.

''Hey, Rachel wait up!''

I turn around to see Hayes pushing pass people and walking towards me. I intake a quick breath before turning back around and begin to cross the street.

''Hey Rachel, where you going?''

I don't even turn around to Kate, instead I just keep walking.

''Rachel, get off the road!''

''RACHEL!!''

That's the last thing I heard before the horn of a car goes off and the world goes black.
