Chapter 8: Unexpected Guest

Layla's POV
Beep...Beep...Beep
I hear my alarm clock go off so I reluctantly get out of bed and grab my bag. I grab my phone and quietly start walking downstairs, but as I walk downstairs I see the last person I wanted to see....My dad.

"Dad?" I ask

"Honey, what are-" My mom try's saying but I cut her off

"No, the real question is why is he here?!" I said pointing at my dad. This is not a good way to wake up.

"I'm back honey...for good." He says with a smile on his face

"Why?! What about your other family that you left me and mom for huh?"

"Why don't we discuss this over a snack?" He asks

"No! There is nothing to discuss, I hate you! And you can't get me to forgive you even of you had all the money in the world!" I yell as i run back upstairs and slam the door

My dad left me and my mom when i was 3 years old. He started a new family and now he has 2 daughters and 1 son, so I have 2 stepsisters and 1 stepbrother. I was mad and sad at the same time just thinking about it. Once I'm I lay on my bed i start hearing thunder and lighting out of nowhere. Then I hear my parents yelling at each other about something so i quietly step outside my door and try to listen.

I was up late watching movies and eating popcorn with Maddie until we hear thunder and lightning out of nowhere. Where did that come from?
