Chapter 1:School

Layla's POV
"Have a good day at school honey"my mom says as I'm getting out of the car.

"Okay mom,bye!" I say back.

As I'm walking to my locker I see my 3 best friends Emily,Maddison,and Sam. I guess you could say we are not that popular here. We all used to get picked on,but when we became friends we stuck up for each other and we don't get picked on as much. If we do,its by the one and only Mckenzie. She's always hated us,but we can't figure out why. Actually,fun fact! We became friends with Maddison because of Mckenzie. Maddi use to be apart of her group,but she stopped being there friends when she found out that they were picking on Sam.

"Hey guys!" I say as I'm getting closer to them.

"Hey Layla!" They all say in sync.

As I walk up to them I see that Sam is wearing a Batman shirt,black skinny jeans,and black tennis shoes. Em is wearing a blue and white tank top,black skinny jeans,and grey converse. And last but not least,Maddie is wearing a pink shirt,black skinny jeans,and pink wedges. As for me,I'm wearing a blue shirt,with black skinny jeans and tennis shoes.

After I put my stuff up in my locker I went to first period.

"Ok class,today we will-" my teacher started but was cut off by the door opening.

"Ahh,you must be the new student" my teacher said

"Yes sir" the boy responded. He was Asian and cute but out of my league.

"Well take a seat" the teacher told him.

He looked around and finally saw that the only open seat was next to me.

"Can I borrow a pencil?" He asked

"Sure" I responded

"What's your name?" He whispered so that the teacher couldn't hear him.

"Layla,whats yours?" I asked

"Will" he answered

"Well Will,Im gonna tell you right now that you don't want to be friends with me,so just pretend like we don't know each other." I told him as I looked back at the teacher so that it would look like I'm paying attention when I really wasn't.

"Why?" He asked

"Because you seem like your gonna be popular here,and I don't want to ruin that for you by you being seen with me and my friends. You see,we are not the most popular people at this school." I say back

"Well can I at least have your number?" He asked with a smile on his face. Ahh his smile is so cute. Wait what? I just met him! Get it together Layla!

"Sure" I said handing him my phone

"Love your case!" He said

"Thanks" I said laughing.

At lunch

After 4th period I went to lunch.

"Hey guys!" I say to my friends already at the table

"Hey" they say

"Have you seen the cute new boy?" Emily asks

"Yeah he's in my first period" I say back

"Did you talk to him?" Maddie asks

"Yeah,why?" I ask

"Just wondering..." Emily says before taking a bite out of her Apple

"You should stay away from him.."She said looking at her phone

"Why?" I asked raising my voice

"Because....look at the people he is hanging out with" she said pointing at the three most popular boys in school,Cole Pendrey,Gabe Morales,and Dana Vaughns.

"Whatever....well I'll be back,I'm gonna go throw my food away" I tell them as I start to stand up. When I turn around to go back to my table I bump into someone. That someone was Will.
