Chapter 2:Stay away or else

Layla POV

"Oops sorry" I said quickly

"It's okay,it was my fault" he said back with a smile on his face.

"Do you want to sit with me and my friends?" He asked helping me up

"I would,but like I told you before I don't want to ruin your popularity. And looks like you've made friends with the most popular guys at school so.." I told him as I was brushing myself off. I couldn't tell him that my friends didn't want us to be friends,because I didn't want to know how he would react.

"Are you sure? Because I would rather have friends than be popular" he said looking into my eyes

"Yeah,well see you around." I told him

"Okay,bye" he said before he walked away

When I got back to my table my friends questioned me about what happened,so I told them and went on with my day

Will's POV

"Are you sure? Because I would rather have friends than be popular" I asked Layla. And hey,it true. I would love to get to know her and her friends,they seem pretty cool,especially when her and her friend with the brown hair break out into song out of nowhere. (Me and cute-username actually do this! Lol)

"Yeah,well see you around"she told me

"Okay,bye" I told her and walked back to my table.

"Hey Will,why were you talking to her?" Cole asked pointing to Layla

"Because she's my friend" I told him with a confused look on my face

"You can't be friends with her and us,she not popular. If your gonna be friends with anyone you need to be friends with Mckenzie." Dana said pointing to some girl that was looking at me and twirling her hair. She pretty,but not as pretty as Layla...Wait what?

"I can be friends with whoever I want" I almost yelled at him

"Whoa,dude. Calm down. You don't like her do you?" Cole asked. Do I? No,i just met her. She's just a cool person,even if I did she probably wouldn't like me back.

"No,i just met her"I told him

"Okay,then you won't have problem not being her friend right?" Gabe asked

"I guess" I responded. I've never felt so sad at school before,but its not like I like her or anything...right?

Layla's POV

Once I got home from school I remembered that it was Friday. I should invite Em,Maddi,and Sam over for a sleepover!

Right before I was going to text the girls,the doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw that it was McKenzie. I was about to slam the door in her face when she held the door open.

"You need to stay away from the new kid" she sassed me

"You don't even know his name! All you know is that he is cute and you want him for yourself. Well let me tell you something! You can't tell me who and who not to be friends with! Especially at my own house! So why don't you take your fake self home!" I practically yelled at her. Whoa,where did that come from? All I know is that she isn't gonna tell me what to do anymore.

"You have the nerve to talk to me like that?" She asked shocked and angry

"Actually...yes! I'm not gonna let little miss plastic ruin my weekend." I told her with confidence in my voice.

"Fine! But I'm going to tell you right now,that if I ever see you talking to him again,I will make your life a living hèll! And you know I can!" She yelled as she stormed off.

She was right,she could ruin my life...
