"School was so interesting today." Carmen said smiling as we all piled into her room.
"For y'all maybe" I said sighing and Draya nodded.
"Y'all crushes are speaking to yall, getting y'all numbers, kissing y'all & shit! Quincy ain't said shit to my ass since like 5th grade." Liyah said rolling her eyes.
We all laughed and she threw her hands up in defeat. "I'm sooo serious."
"But seriously though, Chris doesn't even look in my direction. I doubt he even knows my name." I said laying back on Cams bed.
"I'm sure he does, but you know he's never been the type to chase girls, he's used to them chasing him. Give him time." Loren answered.
"I'm damn sure not about to chase him, but I'll give him time I guess."
"So in other news, y'all know the talent show is coming up soon right?" Destiny said changing the subject.
"Okay so?" Carmen said turning her attention to Des.
"I was thinking this year we should be in it."
"Hell yes!! I'm down fasho fashoo." Carmen said.
"Hell no! Y'all know I have stage fright, y'all trying to make me embarrass myself in front of everyone?" Loren asked us.
"Nae, you know damn well you got the vocals for this. And you want to become a singer, how do you think that's going to happen if you're scared to sing in front of the school?" I said trying to convince her.
"I guess your right.. So when are try outs?" She asked Destiny.
"In about 4 weeks, think that's enough time to put something together?" She asked us.
"Are we just singing? Or are we dancing too?" Carmen asked making each of us think.
"I think we should dance too, show everyone what we about." I answered.
Everyone nodded and Destiny smiled. I checked my phone and jumped up from Carmen's bed immediately.
"Its almost 5, I gotta go pick up Cartier from daycare." I said referring to my little brother.
"Give my baby a kiss for me." Loren said to me as I walked out the door.
"Will do!" I said running out to my car.
I pulled to the daycare at 4:58 and made my way inside the building after locking up my car.
"SISSYYY!!" I heard Cartier scream.
I turned around and seen him running up to me. I opened my arms up and picked up as soon as he got close enough."
"I missed you sissy." He said hugging my tightly.
"I missed you too Carti, and Loren says hey."
"Where shes at?" He asked looking around as I put him down.
"She's at Carmen's house right now."
"I misses her. She so pwetty." He said smiling at the thought of her.
He loves him some Loren. He swears that she's his girlfriend.
"Dayna?" I heard someone call from behind me.
I turned around and seen Chris. So he does know my name.
"Oh hey Chris, wassup?" I said while Carti grabbed my hand.
"I'm here to pick up my little sister, I assume this is your brother?" He asked looking at Carti.
"Who is you?" Carti said crossing his arms and mugging Chris.
