You would think by now August and I would be together since we were the first to start talking. First Chris and Dayna got together. And now it was Quincy and Draya. The way he asked her was so cute by the way.
Maybe August isn't ready for a relationship but I know I won't be waiting forever. Okay maybe I will but I just know I'm ready to be his.
Walking into school I could see the girls and the guys by my locker. We've all been spending time together so I guess you can call us a little family. It's a little weird since I'm not used to this, but it's growing on me.
"Hey yall." I said approaching the group. They all turned their attention towards me and said their greetings.
"Wassup sis? Quincy said hugging me.
"Naw you tell me wassup? You didn't tell me you were going to ask out my sister." I said playfully punching him.
"Well you do have a big mouth. Didn't want her knowing before I asked her." He said laughing.
"True." I said laughing with him.
"I'm happy for yall though." I said pulling Liyah into a hug.
"Thanks baby." She said smiling at me.
"So I guess you just don't see a nigga standing here huh?" I heard August said from the left side of me.
I laughed at him and he embraced me in a hug.
"How could I not see my favorite person?" I said after we pulled away.
"You look beautiful today." He said causing me to blush.
He kissed my cheek which caused me to blush harder.
"Just date already damn!" Loren said rolling her eyes and causing everyone to laugh.
August just chuckled but didn't really acknowledge the statement. Maybe he didn't want me to be his girlfriend. At least Lo, and Destiny were single too, so I wasn't alone.
The be ring causing everyone to go their separate ways. I walked into Chemistry and took my seat between Loren and Destiny.
"So wassup with you and Aug? He hadn't made a move yet?" Destiny said looking at me.
I sighed and shook my head no.
"Everybody knows he likes you, maybe he's just waiting on the right time." Loren said and Destiny agreed.
"Yeah maybe." I said.
August walked in and took his seat next to Trey. He looked at me and flashed a smile. He was so cute man I swear.
Mr.Cullen explained today that we would be working in pairs that he chose to create some type of firework with out chemicals. Knowing me, I'd probably start a damn fire.
"The partners are as followed.." He began.
"Destiny and Trey, Brian and Asia, Loren and Bryson, August and Carmen, Sabrina and Tyree, Diamond and Rashaun, Niko and Allison, Daniel and Nicki, Jacob and Dana, and Jawan and Ashley. Everyone find your partners and get started."
I made my way towards where August was sitting and sat down where Trey was previously sitting.
"Wassup beautiful?" He said once I sat down. I smiled and shook my head to say nothing and started looking over the paper that said what we needed to do.
"I definitely do not wanna mix these chemicals, I don't wanna set us on fire." I said looking at August.
He chuckled and I did too.
"It's okay ma, just sit here, look pretty, and let daddy handle this." He said causing me to laugh.
"My daddy ain't in this class." I said jokingly.
"I'm right here baby." He said causing his accent to pop when he said baby. I just laughed at him and we started to put on all our safety gear.
"Anyone group who can make words into the fireworks will get extra credit and be excluded from the final exam at the end of the semester." Everyone started to get to work and talk about how they were going to put in words.
"How the hell we supposed to that?" I asked August, who was already mixing chemicals.
"Leave it all to me baby." He replied and I blushed once again. He gone make me pounce on that ass.
After about 30 minutes, people began making their fireworks. They were all so pretty but failed to make any words. August and I were the last to finish and we had about 10 minute remaining in the class period.
"You almost done Aug?" I asked him and he nodded. He picked up a beaker that was filled with some blue liquid and handed it to me.
"Umm what's this?" I asked him.
"I need to you pour this in here to make the fireworks." He replied. I looked at him like he was crazy and he laughed.
"Just do it girl, I promise nothing is gonna blow up." He said reassuring me.
"Okay, I can do this." I said taking a deep breathe.
August called Mr.Cullen over and the whole class turned their attention to us.
"Here goes nothing." I said ass I poured the liquid in the beaker. Once it was all in I backed up and closes my eyes. I don't care what he said, I still thing it's going to blow up.
I heard clapping, and people whispering about how cute it was but I was still to scared to open my eyes.
"Open your eyes Car." August said into my ear.
I opened my eyes and what I saw made me blush harder than I ever have before.
The fireworks were in blue and the words were in pink. The words read "Will you be my girlfriend?" I looked at August and he was waiting on my response. I nodded my head quickly and he pulled me into a big hug. This was so cute and I was so happy. The class clapped and I blushed once again. Mr.Cullen gave us our extra credit and marked us off so we wouldn't have to take the final exam.
Once the bell rung, August grabbed his things along with mine, and grabbed my hand. He walked with me outside the class and to my locker. Once I put everything in my locker I turned my attention to him.
"That was so cute Aug, I really appreciate that." He smiled at me and pulled me into a kiss.
"I'd do anything to make you smile. And I had the help from Mr.Cullen." I knew he couldn't have did that by himself, i definitely had to stop by Mr.Cullen's class later and thank him too.
August and I walked down the hallway hand and hand and everyone was staring. Usually they would stare just to stare, but now they were staring because I was officially August Alsina's girlfriend. And I had to say it felt great.
