"No, no, no! Turn it off!" Dandy complains, standing on the stage

"No, no, no! Turn it off!" Dandy complains, standing on the stage. "I told you a million trillion times, the blue light is for 'Night and Day.' Blue symbolises night. For 'Anything Goes,' I need the magenta light to accentuate my spirited rendition. I'm surrounded by amateurs."

"Dandy, it's alright, they're just lights." I groan, and lean back into my chair.

"You'd better get a handle on your boyfriend, Blair, or else we're out of here." I hear a voice behind me, and I turn to see Paul. I open my mouth to say something, but Dandy cuts me off.

"Ah, flipper boy! You're back. Did you hang the banner in clear view for all to see?" Dandy demands, climbing down from the stage.

"Yes, sir, just as instructed." Paul answers, his voice even, even though I know he is sick of Dandy.

"Good, good." Dandy nods, "How many tickets have we sold?"

Paul shifts awkwardly. "Um, well, as of this time, none... quite yet."

"You haven't sold a single ticket?" Dandy's tone begins to become louder, and I place my hand on his arm.

"Well, they only put out the banner half an hour ago." I say, and Dandy shrugs me off his arm. I sigh, at least I tried.

"I don't understand. You must have done something wrong."

"Sir, this is quite typical. You haven't got a lot of experience in this sort of thing, but you'll see." Paul says.

"You think you're so smart. You don't know anything, you stupid freak." Dandy retorts, and I place my head in my hand.

"He's only trying to help." A voice behind us says.

"Oh, shut up, you ugly cow!" Dandy groans, and I bite back a laugh, "No one cares what you think, any of you. I'm in charge here, and I say it's your fault." The freaks share a look, and they aren't too happy with Dandy. "Obviously, no one's coming to the show because you are boring. The town has had their fill of your mediocre oddities. The thrill is gone. You're yesterday's news. Audiences want a new type of freak. Something different."

"Sir, you realise that when you say that, you're offending your girlfriend, too. She is apart of the show, after all." Paul says, and I roll my eyes. I did not want to be apart of this.

"Blair is no freak, you imbecile! She's much too pretty to be here, anyway. She's the reason most people come to this freak show, to see her!" Dandy retorts, and I blush furiously. "Maybe I need to give you all some new, startling look. I think a pair of horns would be quite attractive on you."

"Don't you touch her."

"This is my show! I'll do whatever I want!" Dandy yells, and I see Eve approach him,

"That's is, mister." She says as she punches him in the face.

"Hey! Hey!" I yell, shoving Eve aside and crouching down next to Dandy. "What was that for?"
