4. the journey

*NEWT'S POV*

I awaken by the feeling of someone tugging on my arm. "Get up shank". Gally pulls out of the bed, my body crashing onto the ground.

*GALLY'S POV*

It was day four since Y/N left us with the others. Newt was flirting with literally any girl he could find around his age. I watch as Newt starts to flirt with one of the girls, Cora. He got over Y/N pretty fast I guess.

"Woah did he just kiss Cora?".

"Yea he did Minho".

"Y/N will be shucking pissed. This is the fifth girl he has kissed this week".

"Yea I know that. That's why we're gonna get Y/N and let her best the shit outta him".

"Do you even know where she is Gally?".

I nod at him, pulling out a note from my pocket

'Gally,
don't tell anyone where i am unless you really need me. I'll be where the last city once was.
Y/N'

"She told you where she was but not me? That's not offending what so ever".

*MINHO'S POV*

We load up the berg with all the supplies we'll need. "Where's Newt?". Gally says to us bringing the last bag onboard.

"He didn't want to come".

"Oh he's coming all right!". He walks of the aircraft, carrying a rope and a roll of duct tape.

——10 minutes later——

Gally brings Newt and places him beside me. He was tied up in rope and duct tape. "He kept whingeing, so I ended up tied him up". I shrugged my shoulders as we took off to go get Y/N.

Many hours passes until we reached the city. Frypan lands the aircraft outside of the walls. We pack up our bags and untie Newt. "Bloody hell Gally!". He grabs a bag and walks off in a bad mood. 'He has a shorter temper than Y/N does!'. "Where the bloody hell would she be?". We all look at each others and shrug, Gally points to the city. We start to make tracks and walk toward the walls of the city. It was busy, busier than it was around a year and a bit ago. We all look around, keeping an eye out for either Thomas or Y/N.

*NEWT'S POV*

I don't even know why they bloody brought me on this trip with them. It's not like Y/N wants me looking for her, she specifically said not to. As I walk around, I come across a familiar (e/c) eyed, (h/c) hair girl. She looks over at me then walks away from the old women she was talking to. I follow her around by the city, pushing through crowds, behind buildings until she stops in an alley.

"Why are you here Newt?". Her arms were crossed, her face was furious, an eyebrow raised. I slowly walk over to her, she slowly backs away. "I don't even know. Gally, Minho and Frypan dragged me here".

She scoff as she rolls her eyes and drops her arms by her side. "Well for whatever reason you are all here, you need to leave. I left for a reason...".

"What reason Y/N? hm? Because what you left on that note didn't give much of a reasoning!".

"I'm doing this for your own good!".

"By breaking up with me over a note?! That is what's for my own good? Abandoning your friends? Abandoning me?".

"Look I did this help other people just like I helped you!".

"I didn't ask for you to help me Y/N!".

Her eyes filled with tears. She shuts her eyes to stop the tears from spilling all over her pinky cheeks. Her breath became shaky, her legs becoming weak. I walk over to her and pull her into a tight hug. She wraps her arms around my waist and rests her head on my chest. "Look i'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset Newt. I thought what I was doing was right". I brush her back with one hand while holding the back of her head with the other. "I'm sorry too love". Her head lifts up and she look at me with a confused expression. "Why are you sorry?"

"When you were gone, I kind of went around and kissed a few girls on the island". She pushes me away and slaps my face with her hand. I felt the burn and tingles it left. "Out of all the things you do to fix your broken heart, you kiss a bunch of girls!". Rage fills her eyes, her face turning bright red.

"We were broken up Y/N!".

"For the love of god, please tell me one of them wasn't Cora!".

I stand in silence and look down at the dusty ground.

"You're an absolute man-wh@re!". She storms off and stops just before exiting the alley. "Just so you know since we're sharing...I kissed Thomas". She continues to walk off, probably going to find Thomas. 'Why did I tell her about kissing the girl? Gosh I'm so stupid! Wait...she kissed Thomas?!'.
