"Today's the day. I can feel it."

Yunho rolls his shoulders back and stretches his neck. He proceeds to stretch his arms and then his hips, jumping twice on the spot before making a big show of exhaling loudly.

"That's what you say everyday," Wooyoung complains, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, but today feels different."

"How?"

Yunho shrugs. "I don't know but it just feels like it. I'm gonna tell her today."

Mingi smirks. "I bet my money that that's not happening."

Everyone else nod and murmur in agreement. Hongjoong who's tying his shoelaces jumps up onto his feet and chuckles, his hands on his hips.

"I think it's gonna happen," he says, patting Yunho's back. "Just not today."

"How much are you betting, Joong?" Seonghwa teases.

"Like, a dollar?"

Everyone laughs and Yunho slaps Hongjoong's back. He sputters from the force. Sometimes Yunho forgets he's twice Hongjoong's size.

"I thought you were on my side!"

"No one's on your side Yunho. You've been wanting to confess to her for a few months and yet, still nothing," Yeosang comments, wiggling his fingers.

"Yeah, I'm getting tired hearing it all the time," Jongho says, adding fuel to the flame.

"Hey guys, let's not tease our puppy too much. We need to hype him up! He just needs a little encouragement!" San chirps, wrapping his arms around Yunho's larger body.

Yunho pouts and sighs. Everyone is right though. It has been many months since he realised his love for Jin Ah was more than platonic.

"Yunho! Aren't you coming?" Mingi shouts from afar.

Yunho is snapped out of his thoughts as he realises the whole group has started jogging without him.

"Wait up!"

He picks up the pace till he finally catches up with them.

"What's the problem with confessing anyways? I'm pretty sure Jin Ah likes you too," Hongjoong says between pants.

At those words, a furious blush creeps up Yunho's cheeks and he looks away, trying to contain his smile. The idea of it is impossible, but exciting nontheless.

"No she doesn't. She likes that senior. The one on the basketball team."

San smacks Jongho's head.

Yunho's heart falls. "She does?"

"No. No way. Don't listen to him, Yunho. He doesn't know what he's saying," San quickly says, covering Yunho's ears.

The latter stops jogging, distracted and upset. He knows who Jongho is talking about. That senior is known to be an all-rounder. Not only is he on the school's basketball team, he is apparently good at singing and dancing too. He's good looking and kind and is a straight A student. He is the kind of person Yunho can only dream to be.

"Hey, ignore Jongho. You're still doing it right?" Yeosang asks.

Yunho shrugs. He no longer has the confidence that he did at the start of their run. Yunho walks over to a bench and took a seat, watching several people jog past them.

Jongho takes a seat next to him and pats his shoulder as a form of apology but there really is nothing to be sorry about. If it is true, then Jongho is just stating facts. Nothing that Yunho can do about.
