I stare mesmerized at the carvings. This had to have been recent. Well, before they got into the real world and we were stuck in the Fantasy world. The carving is surprisingly clean, and each line was smooth with no stone dust lining the edges, which helped paint the picture of the story the carving told.
Two skinny figures who could only be our mothers, are seeming to be circled by winged creatures. They appear to have upright horns, with claws on their hands and feet. The strange creatures are small, but I can tell what they are in an instant. I think their demons. The circular position that they hold, with our mothers in the center could mean one thing. The demons are possessing our mothers. I can hear Ally gasp as she stares at the carving.
"Demons. . ." I hear her mumble. I glance at her, surprised.
"We have to move. Fast. They could have done something with them that could be worse then whatever this is." She says. She rushes onward. I run to catch up with her. I stop only a few feet away from the first carving. There's another one.
This one however is of the demons entering our mothers heads. The creatures hover over them until it's their turn to be sucked in through their mouths, ears, and noses. This is a gruesome sight, and I think Ally agrees. She is practically in tears as she stares fixedly at the carving.
There is another one ahead and this one is of our mothers being forced to torture other innocent people as they make their way through the streets. There's another one right next to it and it's of our mothers crying, huddled in a cell. One no one can break out of. I tear my eyes away from this horrible sight and stare at the ground. I can't believe how bad the Crew of Doom wants us. Well, actually, I can. They're called the Crew of Doom for a reason.
The farther we run, the worse the carvings get. The carvings begin to show graphic torture. I don't think I can handle this. I feel my breath quickening, and my heart pounding out of my chest.
"What could be worse than our mothers being possessed?" I ask her, puzzled. Ally turns towards me sharply. She glances at me with hard eyes.
"I think you know."
"What are you-oh no!" I say with my eyes as wide. Terror strikes me.
"Death." Ally finishes.
Me and Ally keep walking together in dead silence. She keeps her arm linked to mine. However, she walks a few inches away from me like she's scared of me for some reason. I know she isn't though. She's scared of her surroundings, as if nothing could be trusted. A relatable feeling, as I have it to. The intentions of the Crew of Doom were clear; they were to hurt anyone who stood in their way of taking over the Fantasy world.
And we are the only ones to stop it.
