We follow Hera and the guard out the doors and step onto the now brown clouds which used to glow with gold and white specks of glitter. The sky is a dark grey color, and the sun is covered by the darker clouds that reigned above. I remember that Ally told me that the clouds were so bright, that it almost blinded her. At least. . . from what I've heard. I suppose it's because of the gradual change between the kind and collected rule before the Crew of Doom came in.

Suddenly, I see Hera stop in her tracks. Me and Ally stop abruptly, determined to not move a muscle. Then, she turns around suddenly, a malicious smile on her face.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here." She says. Me and Ally promptly move ourselves closer to each other.

"Ah, it's those children!" The giant says gruffly.

"Yes. It's us." Ally mutters quietly.

"You did quite well, considering you were caught in an unbreakable cage." Hera says. My face scrunches up.

"Well, doesn't help that we are much smarter than you'll ever be." Ally says.

"You think so?" Hera asks with a chuckle.

"Actually, yeah. We've walked for at least three hours behind your tracks. Not to mention we got out of an unbreakable cage." I jump in.

"Unfortunately, you've made a terrible mistake." Hera says with an unmistakable formal accent.

Me and Ally look at each other.

"I'll get them for you," The giant offers. Hera shudders in disgust.

"Excuse me?" She says. The giant looks taken aback. He pauses.

"Okay, you can do it then." He says quietly. I catch a sympathetic look from Ally. These giants are definitely not kind souls, but they deserve better than this.

It's then I catch a soft whisper from Ally.

"Run on the count of three."

"You sure?"

"One,"

"Two,"

"Ally-"

Three!"

We take off back into the castle. We rush through the halls, sensing Hera's heavy steps behind us.

After a few quick seconds of running, Ally cuts me off and races into a room, and locks the door with a few pieces of furniture. A split second after, I hear Hera cut the corner, facing the door. Me and Ally push our backs against the door and breath soft, yet heavy sighs. I unconsciously take Ally's hand and she doesn't let go. She squeezes it and sets her head on the wooden door frame.

After a few rushed minutes, I decide to lift my head and look around. We seemed to run into a storage closet. Wooden remnants of chair legs and wooden sheets loot the closet. Few shelves hang on the walls with rustic books and papers. Only a few seconds later, I notice something in the corner of my eye.

It sparkled and shined, and long rectangular specks of black and white made it's identity crystal clear.

It couldn't be.
