Ally quickly unlatches the trapdoor and sneaks in. I tumble after her down the ladder.

"Lily?" Ally calls for our friend. Silence answers her call. I sigh. I dont think thats going to work down here. We don't even know how long the tunnel is. There's a possibility it could be endless; or a least from my memory I think it is.

We promptly start to navigate our way down the dark halls, hoping we're walking in the right direction. Ally traces her finger on the stone wall's, and I keep my eyes open.

The last time we were in the lair, we had spotted carvings with Demons, and unfortunately. . . our mothers. The carvings painted a perfect picture of what it meant- our mothers were in serious danger. The demon's possessed and took their souls. Death could be looming before them soon. Or it possibly already has? My back shivers at the thoughts of it.

"Don't think about it." I hear Ally remind me quietly. I suppose she has the same thoughts.

"Your right." I say, huffing a sigh. "Don't think about it. . ." I recite as we keep walking.

"Where are we going?" I hear a squeaky voice wonder. Ally gently picks a grumpy Chip and Peanut up and places them on her fingers. She then hands them to me.

"We're going to find Lily. We found the hatch back into the lair." I report softly.

"Awesome. . ." I hear Chip say, falling fast asleep once more. Peanut then changes her position and goes back into a soft doze. I pet them with my free hand gently. At the corner of my eye, I see an impressed Ally looking at me with wide eyes. I turn towards her.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing, I- it's just the way you handled Chip and Peanut. Never seen you do it before-not that it's important." Ally rambles on. It's kinda hard to understand the other feeble sentences, but I smile.

"It was impressive enough that they went back to sleep." I remark. Ally tips her head in agreement.

"I guess so." She says.

We start to walk again in silence. The only sounds that are heard is our soft breaths and beating hearts. We walk for what seems like hours. Every corner we pass, we check and inspect it to see if we're going the right direction. Also, to check for any clues that might be looming in the crevices.

Suddenly, I hear Ally gasp as I turn to a wall that I have seen before. I slowly creep towards it and touch the delicate markings and indents as I recognize one of the carvings of our mothers.

Each time I run my hand over the carving, I feel my spine begin to squirm with shivers. This carving was the original one we had found with the demons possessing our mother's souls. They had seemed to be damaging the women. Now, the carvings show a different picture then before.

This one was of their eyes rolling back and scarlet dripping down the side of their faces. The demon's were sitting beside them now. They appeared to be whispering in their ears, and our mother's seemed to be taking in the information. A few others on the sides possessed wicked smiles on their faces. I feel my hand start to shake and the color of my face starts to drain and turn pale white.

Why? I wonder as I scream internally at the horrific picture.

I catch that Ally has the same reaction. I quickly grab her hand in comfort and I tug her down the hallway. There's no need to stand there in shock any longer.

We find ourselves walking-or more like running- along the halls, attempting to find the next carving.

You must wonder why we're so urgent about it.

It's quite simple actually.

The carving we had found earlier seemed to be the next step towards demise. If we found the next carving, we could see what would happen next. Then, we would have an even more of a reason to push ahead and stop the Crew of Doom and the Demons in their tracks.
