Coco, do you bring news?" A giant asks a bright and colorful bird.

"No. Sadly, I do not." The bird known as Coco replies. The giant sighs.

He turns to a Cyclops standing behind him.

"Have you heard anything from the boy and girl yet? I want to make sure that Coco got rid of them correctly."

"I don't think I've heard from them, sir." Bones says quickly.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Coco demands, narrowing her eyes at the cyclops.

"Dammit! Just send a small scout out to find them. Then, we will know for sure, Bones." The giant orders.

Bones nods and marches clumsily out of the spacious room.

"Of all the Cyclopes you could have summoned, you chose him?" Coco asks as soon as Bones is out of earshot.

"What? I mean, at least he has bones to spare if he gets killed." The giant says, laughing. Coco glares at him.

"Do you get it? Bones. . . his name is Bones. . ." He trails off, still chuckling at his terrible joke. Coco rolls her eyes.

"What are you going to do now, Lord Asher?" Coco asks. Asher doesn't answer. He looks around the abandoned mansion that he had found covered in cobwebs and caked in dust. They had walked and stomped -or in Coco's case, flew- around to see any shelter they could claim. It so happened the abandoned mansion was just a few minutes away from the portal. It looked as though no one had lived in it for centuries, which was fine and dandy for a group of ragtag fantasy villains.

"Yes, I just need to make sure that those juveniles are killed and disposed of so we don't need to worry about them anymore. Ansel and Rebel left me in charge." Asher mutters, more to himself than to Coco.

"And how do you know?" Coco asks suspiciously.

"I was told in a vision!" Asher claims. Coco narrows her eyes but nods in agreement.

"Lord Asher. I have actually just remembered some news." Coco suddenly says abruptly. Asher stops muttering and looks at the parrot.

"Well then bird, what is the news that you have forgotten to tell me?"

"You are only able to open the portal that brought us here twice more. Unless you use it to let the scout out into the fantasy world, then once more."

"When the time is right... I will send the scout out when I call the guards at the palace." Asher reassures Coco.

"Lovely idea sir."

"Thank you, Coco. All this thinking has made my brain exhausted!" Asher complains.

"And that is why you should just... calm down and let me handle this so you can put your feet up and relax for a bit." The bird says. Asher looks as though he'll reply, but Coco smoothly puts a wing on his mouth and he turns around and walks out. As soon as he leaves the corridor, Coco spreads her wings, shudders, and smiles crookedly, making a strange curvature with her beak.

"If only he knew. . . oh the struggle and pain that they'll finally experience. . .The terror on their faces. . . " She exclaims in a low voice. Then came a laugh that could only come out of a witch as she takes flight into the dead of night.
