CHAPTER 8

Its the day for the art competition winners announcement. We finished all our exams, and yet tomorrow is the result day.

I was so nervous, i didnt eat the whole day.

"Ivy. We did our best, dont worry for tomorrow".

"What if i didnt win ? We really need the certificate".

"We will. Stop worrying about it".

He held my hands.

"By the way, did you see the art yet?"

"Oh i haven't had time".

"LEO. ITS THE COMPETITIONS' PAINTING".

"I submitted it to the teacher"

i cant believe this guy.

"I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK".

"I'll see it once the painting is off the competition".

Leo looked so tired today. His hair was a whole mess and his face looked so pale.

"Whats wrong with you?"

"You're pathetic".

His words shoot through me.

"Oh i get it".

I pulled my hand from his.

"What ?"

"You dont care about the partnering, dont you?"

I stood up.

"IVY. You know i didnt mean that-"

I walked away. Im so anxious.

Tomorrow is the last chance. If i didnt pass, i wouldnt get into the Art university.

Yuqi walked away and went outside the class.

"Leo. Why is Ivy looking so mad ?", Audrie walked over to me.

"I don't know".

"Or you just don't care", she rolled her eyes.

Are girls always this complicated?

Audrie kicked my right feet.

Tyler walked over.

I sighed. Alright.

That night, i texted Ivy.

I glanced at his message. Hes so CUTE FOR WHAT, i swear.

I got ready and dress up.

When i walked downstairs, my mum stared at me.

"Where are you going, Ivy?"

"Ah, im going to the library", i lied.

"What are you doing ?"

"Study, uh- i mean, yeah. Tomorrow is the result, so we are going out to revise".

"Last time you went out , you said you fell asleep at the library".

"This time I'm bringing a friend".

"Good. Be home before 10".

I walked outside my house, and dashed to Leo's house.

He walks outside, just wearing his hoodie but still be looking so hot, its unfair.

"Ivu-".

Before he could say anything, I pulled him and we ran down street.

When we stopped running, we were out of breath.

"Woah. Why are u rushing ?"

"Its my mum. Im screwed if she saw us".

Leo glanced at me. I was panting.

He step closer and looked at me.

I froze.

"Stop panting. You look hot".

WHAT ? THE AUDACITY

I flushed red. What nonsense, i kicked his feet.

"HEY, AUDRIE JUST KICKED ME THERE THIS MORNING".

I grinned and we ran to the beef stall.

He ordered us some food, and we ate a lot.

"Ivy, I know you did well. You are gonna get the best result tomorrow, i bet".

I looked at him. Still my pretty Leo.

"Dont do bets".

"You know i didnt mean that".

"Im sorry i got mad, i was just so scared".

"Nah, it didnt matter, i forgive you because you're hot today".

"HAHAHAHHA , shut up", we giggled.

We walked home after i finished my food, and it rained again.

Leo lifted his hand, and rain drops fell on it.

"Oh, its raining , Ivy".

"Its okay. We're close to home".

"No", he spoke and took off his hoodie, wearing his t shirt.

He slide his hoodie to me, and i froze again.

His hoodie smells like him. it smelled so good.

"Here".

"Stop taking care of me too much, take care of yourself".

"shh, im fine".

I smiled. I was so happy.

I took a step closer hugged him under the rain. I lifted my head up, and he laughed.

... nice.

Warmth i havent felt in such a long time.

We hugged for somewhat long, just because, i love him too much too.

Thoughts entered my head, warmth ? Was it all i wanted from my parents , all this time.

I held on, mixing thoughts with feelings.

"Can we stay like this for a while?"

Leo just smiled.

When we pulled over, he whispered to me.

"Ivy?".

"You know u can get a hug anytime u want".

"Im fine now, something bothered me but now you're here".

"Im always here".

"hm ?"

"Well, i guess im never leaving you".

"Me too. Promise ?" I lift my pinkie.

"Promise", he laughed.

He left me and returned to his house.

I ran home, and saw my MUM in front of the house.

"What time is it, Ivy Lucielle ?" my mum spoke.

Oh no.

I looked at my clock. Its 11.50

Oh god.

"Come inside".
