2 : CHAPTER 4

LEO

I stared into the rain.

We were on our way to celebrate the hard work, so the manager decided to take us to a fancy restaurant. All the models were all excited , eager and happy.

what a day,

It was raining so heavily outside, and it cools the car's window.

Our designer today even won for the first time in the huge award, and we did a great job of potraying her outfits designs.

I felt so comfortable lately, and so contented but however, i cant shake off this weird emptyness inside me.

The car stopped at the red traffic light, but i was still staring into the rain.

I saw a girl standing by the bus stop. She was ready to go off but her hands were empty.

Of course she doesnt have an umbrella, shes gonna get so wet.

and as she runs under the heavy rain, i heard an unfamilliar laugh inside my head.

I heard happy giggles, of a girl and a boy.

My mind suddenly hurt a lot so I hit my head with my hand, shocking Kira beside me.

"Leo, are you okay ?"

Kira held my shoulder, and she saw my eyes wandering outside the window.

"What did you saw ?"

My mind felt an endless pain, I was feeling anxious and i panicked. Someone stop the laugh.

When i hit my head one last time, my mind snapped empty. The noises left my head and when i closed my eyes, i heard a soft soothing voice, catching her breath.

'Leo, why do you like me ?'

And with that, everything went black.

I woke up to the sight of Kira and Aiden staring at me all worried.

The light above me was so bright, i felt like my eyes hurt more than my mind.

They panicked out when they saw me waking up and quickly got the manager, and i realised we were in a hospital.

"Wait, why are we here ?"

I saw the other models exchange glances.

"We should be asking you", Aiden spoke to me.

"What happened to you in the car? What did u saw in the rain?", Kira asked.

"We were so worried, the doctor said its serious", Yuno stated.

I shrugged, lifting my hand to my head.

"Im sorry we didn't get to celebrate at the restaurant because of me ".

"Are you kidding me ?" Tyler said

"We're still celebrating but at the dorm. The manager ordered food already", Kira smiled and the atmosphere became cheerful again.

When everyone spoke altogether, i felt like the pain is slowly drifting away.

I was conscious already from the brain thing.

But truthfully, that brain sick thing didnt happened in 4 years since i left my country. That was why i was so shocked, as it hadn't happened in a long time.

And this time, it was a new sentence, and even worse she said,

'Leo, why do you like me ? '

I just kept quiet and smile away. I should probably stop imagining-

"Dont get your thoughts so deep on the simple rain".

I looked at Tyler. Wait, what ?

"What do you mean?"

"The rain is something you should avoid for now, for your own".

"I don't get it".

"Then stay that way".

Kun said those and walked away.

Of all of the members, i would say Kun was the one who didnt talk to me most.

He has always been funny and happy, but in certain times, he was too careful of me.

For he was a schoolmate from high school , he definitely knew something, but i wasn't brave enough to talk to him about it.

Maybe someday, he'll tell me.

"So you think getting him amnesia wasnt enough?"

"EXCUSE ME !?"

I was boiled with anger, and it was like 1a.m there so i had to be quiet

"WHAT did you say to him"

i was on the phone with Kun, YES, KUN. THE DUDE who was XUXI'S BEST FRIEND.

"HELLO. I DIDNT EVEN MEET HIM THERE".

"Ahaha, you know you can't lie to my face".

"wtf kun".

"What is it this time, Yuqi".

wait. did something happened to Xuxi ?

"Is Xuxi okay?"

"So you know hes on my band".

"i swear to god, i just knew today".

"huh".

"IS HE OKAY? WHAT HAPPENED?"

I heard Kun pulled a deep breath.

"His head. It was 4 years since he faced the brain sickness due to his amnesia, but today, it happened again"

My chest felt like it was thrown apart.

"When? how?"

"After the awards, it was raining,,

Dont tell me-

"So he stared into the rain and i think a memory came inside him"

Oh god. Oh no

Oh no no no no.

"Yuqi? Are you listening?"

I was silenced. I was too shocked, too anxious, too panicked.
