Nice. . . nice job out there guys." I pant. I forgot that the staircase is the way to the attic.

"Except for the fact that we're back in square one." Connor says heavily.

After finally catching my breath, I slowly grab the book from the inside of my hoodie and pull it out.

"Guys, when you were downstairs, I found a book. . . I think you might want to see it. The reason I brought it was because I thought we would might not get back in here." I pull it out and hand it to Ally. She flips through it and stops at the page I had originally stopped at. The portal potion.

Ally gasps as she reads over her shoulder. "Portal ingredients?"She murmurs. A few seconds later, her eyes widened.

"Portal ingredients! Does this mean this is a way to open the portal?"

Now Connor hovers over Ally's shoulder, his eyes skimming the page.

"And it might be the only way," He says urgently.

"So, are we going to do this?" Melinda asks.

"I think so, I mean, as far as we know it's the only way at the moment. I'm sure there are no doves in this mansion." I say.

"Yeah. This is our only hope." Connor says.

They're right. But it will be incredibly hard.

"So all we have to get is these ingredients?" Connor asks me. I nod and start scouring the room to see if they had any spare ingredients or things to use to help us with the process - which from a glance, didn't seem like it.

"How are we going to find anything in this mess?'' I groan. It's been a few hours since we escaped the room with Asher.

"Well, we'll look through all of the piles thoroughly." Melinda reassures.

"I don't think we'll find anything in here, though. I mean, fairy dust? Unicorn horn?" Ally said doubtely. Connor walks over to her and puts a hand on her shoulder.

"We'll find something, I'm sure of it. Besides, you never know what the Crew Of Doom might be holding in their secret lair!" Connor exclaimes. Ally's eyes sparkle.

"I guess so," She says. They share a glance before Connor moves ahead back into the pile of knick-knacks he was working on. I walk over to Connor and I can't resist to ask him something.

"So, when are you gonna pop the question?"

"What question?"

"You know which one."

Connor sighs.

"I don't know. Maybe after this whole quest. Why do you ask?"

"Just wondering."

"Well, why do you wonder?"

I glance at him.

"I see how you look at her, how you talk to her, how you touch her. Don't you see the sparkle in her eyes when she looks at you?" I hiss. "I'm honestly surprised you haven't kissed her already!" I exclaim quietly. I shift my position so Connor can hear me better. He gives me a hard look.

"I don't know if she's ready for that. Heck, I don't even know if I'm ready for that!" Connor says. I smile.

"I think you both are ready for that. I mean, look at what you have been through together!"

"Yeah but, I don't know. I'm kinda waiting for the right moment."

"You care for her." I notice.

"I do." Connor replies.

"I have a good feeling about you two." I say, stepping towards another pile of rubble.

I walk away leaving Connor standing, and very confused.

"Did you find anything else inside the book?" Ally asks abruptly.

"I couldn't. The giant who took me to the cyclops stopped me in the moment of reading." I reply.

"Great. I say we discuss ideas for a backup plan, so if we don't find anything, we have an idea on what to do to get the ingredients." Melinda suggests. Ally nods.

"Good idea," She says. "So most of the ingredients are from the Fantasy world. The only ingredient not from there is passion, which I'm sure we all have." Ally began.

"Right. The real question is how to get the other ingredients." Connor says.

"So, how?"
