We had special guests we had to meet.
Apparently, they decided to have the VIP lounge in the Dean's quarter, as soon as we enter, the people sitting stood, I guess it's out of respect or something of that sort. We step in and the door closes behind us, I look around and notice a round table with five empty seats, I suppose this is a formal meeting but I couldn't help but wonder who the fifth person is, we walk to our respective seats beside each other and I couldn't help but feel at peace and a bit exhausted, but still at peace like I've found my home and I couldn't help but smile.
After we sat down they all sat and started to introduce themselves.
"Hello there, the name's Aaron and I'm a grade alpha shifter, I look forward to working with you".
The first guy said with a boyish smile, he didn't look any older than 20 with that smile but I should know better than trust based on what I see on the outside, for all I know he may be well over 70
"Our turn, I turned towards the voices and see two girls who look nothing older than 17, Im Jessie and she's Jenny, immortal assassins of Viskar".
Did she just say assassins? And immortal?
"You make it sound less presentable" Jenny said with an eye roll
"How then do you suppose I put it dear sister ?" Jessie asked with sarcasm dripping from her voice
"Can you both not start, at least not now ?" The other guy said
"Hmph" Jenny turned her face away with her eyes closed
"I'm Tyler a vampire, it's a pleasure meeting you" he said with a slight bow
"As it is meeting you" I replied with a smile.
"Where's Matia ?"
"She said she would be arriving late" Jenny said.
"If you had allowed me to kill her five years ago we won't have to wait for her anymore" Jessie said with an 'i told you so' expression.
Did she just say kill, does she enjoy killing ?
"We're not revisiting that topic Jessie not now, not ever"
Kristean said with a straight face
"Good now that that has been taken care of and everyone has introduced themselves, let's get down to business shall we"
"How rude of you to start your little chit chat in my absence dearie, how rude".
"Matia, how nice of you to finally join us" Kristean said with a smile
"How nice ?" Jeremy and Justin said together.
"More like how rude" Justin added while Jeremy glared at her
"Well you have to pardon me dearies, there were some gossip I had to pick up on my way here" she said.
"Well we appreciate your presence, if you'll just sit now.
And then she say and dropped her basket of flowers on the table and places her farmer hat on it and that was when I saw her clearly
"Mum ?" I asked in shock
"Oh no dearie, auntie will be better"
"What ‽‽‽" I asked in disbelief
"Story for another day dearie we have pressing matters to resolve, do we not ?".
"Thank you Matia, now we all know that even with Kai's escape there has not been any major disturbance or threat that has been posed against our community and I have reasons to believe he is planning something really big".
"And I have proof to back your reasons dear, I hear he has built a machine that detects gifted ones" Matia said
"That's impossible, I should be the only one that can detect them" Kristean piped in
"Well, seems he has made the impossible turn possible" Matia said with a smile
"He's gathering an army of supernaturals" The twins said at the same time.
"Jinx" they both said again
"Double jinx" they said with laughter
"How about I jinx you out of existence ?" Justin said with a smile
"Now that that's settled how about we get back to the "gathering" matter ?" Jeremy asked with worry and annoyance etched on his face
"I have reasons to believe them, recently my guys have been getting complaints from the ration faction. They say our ration gets stolen by rogue vamps and last time I checked none of my guys has gone rogue" Tyler said with anger
"There's has also been sightings of mythical creatures and rampage of some of them, we had to ask the vampires to make the witness and victims forget" Aaron said
"Wait let me get this straight, you keep track of all your guys ?" Jessie asked with awe
"Uhm yeah, I do" Tyler replied
"Why don't we keep track of all our kills ?" Jessie asked Jenny with a scowl on her face
"You don't, I do" Jenny replied with a straight face
"He's planning a war" Justin said
"Thank you for pointing that out Sherlock Holmes" Jessie said with sarcasm
"Can you say something that's not so obvious" Aaron snapped
"Not just with our Academy, he's planning one with all the academies"
"How do you know that ?" Jeremy asked
"If he wanted to wage a war with just us, he would have done it a long time ago" Justin replied
"Maybe he doesn't have enough armies yet" Tyler suggested
"He is looking for you" Matia said turning to me with a smile
"What ?" We all asked in unison
"Why me ?" You're one of a kind dearie"
"How do you know this ?" Kristean asked
"Well there's a rumor spreading around Pandemonia that Kai is recruiting bounty hunters to search for a boy with pale skin, white hair and white eyes" Matia said, her eyes still on me
"Now why didn't you start with that ?" Jeremy asked with fear and worry in his voice
"I don't know, probably slipped my mind" She replied with a smile
"Would you like to share with us what other things slipped your mind ?" Jeremy asked
"I think the question we should be asking is how in the first place does he know what the boy looks like ?" Aaron said
"Well isn't it obvious Sherlock, he's got a spy in the school" Jessie said
"That is also obvious, what he meant was how did the spy get past without you knowing" Jenny said looking at Justin
