hey besties! we hit 200 views a few days ago and i couldn't be more grateful for all of you - thank you for your votes and comments, it makes my day every time i get a notif. sending you a big virtual hug! 🖤
also, i'm facing writer's block at the moment and i'm gnawing at one particular chapter; thankfully, i have a few more pre-written, and i hope i'll eventually overcome this mf for i have another few projects in mind, but for now - enjoy and have a good weekend. i love you xx"Oh fuck, it's after curfew", Harry suddenly gasps through a fit of giggles, and grasps your arm.
„Ooh no", you sigh dramatically, and throw Hermione a cheeky grin. "Sorry, forgot the time", you laugh and hiccup.Hermione asked you to meet up with them to talk about the upcoming Halloween ball and naturally, as the evening progressed, you started to drink ungodly amounts of alcohol.
Harry grins as he tries to pull you up to your feet to usher you out of the Gryffindor Common room.
"Lemme", you slur and pout, but he's surprisingly relentless: "Up you go!"
It takes a few embarrassing attempts to steady yourself, but you're finally standing eventually and stumbling to the portrait, guided by Harry's arm.
"This was nice, 'mione, Harry", you drawl, provoking a high-pitched laugh from Hermione.
"Don't get caught, you drunk dork!", she calls from the fireplace and waves you goodbye. You wave back, kiss Harry on the cheek and stumble out of the portrait.
"G'night, Mylady", you bow down before the Fat Lady after the portrait closes after you, knowing it'll please her massive ego.
"You look like a distillery smells, Slytherin", she sniffs dismissively, but waves her hand kerchief – a gesture reserved for those she tolerates and you're in her good books, thank god, or your nightly escapes at the wrong common room you so frequently sneak in would be rather difficult to manage.
You turn around and grin – she's right, though, you're fucking hammered and it feels fucking good.
You decide to take your sweet, sweet time with your walk down to your room, don't wanting to spend the rest of evening on your own in your room. You stride to a window across the Gryffindor tower and open it, breathing in the cool autumn winds to clear your mind.
There's not a soul out there in the cold, but in the distance, you hear the faint howl of a wolf. You smile fondly up at the full moon and flick your wand, whispering one of your favourite spells Remus taught you.
A tiny blueish wolf melts out of your wand, and your Patronus runs into the night, keeping the lonely wolf company.
"Fascinating", Remus breathes, strangely sentimental, when your wand produces a blue hue that surprisingly resembles the wolf figure that got this whole magic mess going, that day at the playground.
"The Patronus represents the kind of protection you're searching for in great danger. In rare cases, your Patronus even reflects that of the most valuable person in your life."
You look at him, then at your Patronus, suddenly realizing why he's so emotional, and you can't help but let out an affectionate chuckle.
"Oh, don't cry, you big bad wolf", you hush him with a grin. "You know I do love you the most, right?" He shakes his head, teary-eyed.
"Oh, come on! You didn't?", you gasp in surprise. The wolf growls lazily behind him, and vanishes with a whisper into thin air.
"You saved me when I was at my worst!", you exclaim, emotional. "Don't make me cry too, you arse! Of course you are my person!"
