A.N.: Is it getting hotter in here or is it me? 🥵
Have a good sunday, you gorgeous people! Drink some water. xx

"So, tell me, how are you settling in?", Albus asks you jovially, sitting behind his desk. His wise eyes look over his glasses and he smiles. He invited you to tea and biscuits this evening and wants to check in, apparently.

"Everything's quite all right, Sir. I think I've grown quite fond of Hogwarts."

Albus chuckles and nods, beaming joyfully with pride.

"And your tutoring? Made it out in one piece, I see."

You laugh.

"It was a close call sometimes. Potions' a relentless piece of work, but don't tell Professor Snape", you wink at him secretively.

His laugh rumbles through his body and he claps his hands – oh how you've missed it...

"That's great news! I like to think that you and Professor Snape are accustomed to each other, are you not?"

You breathe out, amused. "Yes, I do think so. He's a good teacher and we share a mutual respect, I believe."

Albus hums happily and pulls a piece of parchment out of his coat.

"Splendid! Then this will be no problem!"

He slides the parchment across the desk for you to read.

Occlumency lessons.

You frown. This mind reader thing. You look back at Albus, wanting to interject, but he interrupts you before you can speak.

"You surely remember the first day you arrived here at Hogwarts, choosing your wand? I believe Remus told you that Silver Lime wood is a suitable fit for those gifted with visionary talents, and now that you're making a home at Hogwarts, we can start to train and improve your gift, like every student here is encouraged to increase their special skill. Severus is an exceptional Legilimens and given your bond, he's going to be an excellent teacher."

He looks at you expectantly and you know there's no chance to refuse his offer – command. So, you huff and stand up.

"Of course, Sir. I will consult Professor Snape for our first lesson."

"Wonderful!"

And you leave his office and, out of ear side, groan. There you have it: One tutoring ends, another starts. So much for free time and figuring out your feelings for a certain Potions Master in peace.

„Do you do this often? Reading your students' minds?", you ask your Professor when you sit down in front of him.

It's your first lesson in Occlumency, a day after you spoke to Albus, and your Professor scheduled your tutoring in an instant, leaving you no time to enjoy the little free time you were supposed to have between school lessons and studying.

Snape grimaces, disgusted. „I do no such thing, for I respect privacy, Miss. Besides, there is nothing, and I repeat, nothing that may be of interest in these childish minds."

You roll your eyes at his dramatic response and defensively put your hands up. „Understood, jeez", you mutter. Your little encounter with the Veritaserum tells a different story, though, you think sarcastically.

He frowns, annoyed at your backtalk, and pulls his wand out of his belt. You're taking a closer look, now that he's so close to you. It's sleek, black and richly ornamented at the handle. It's quite beautiful.

"Is yours Silver Lime too?", you ask him curiously, eyes still fixed on his hand.

"No", he drawls. "Acacia. Temperamental wood." Acacia. Your Amortentia.
