Pairing: Dancing Rasta x Kalina

>>>>>>>ONE MONTH AGO>>>>>>>

[7 am...]

"Hm...?"

The dark-chocolate man looks up at the sign, the words bakery and café in the mix.

'Had dis always been here?'

🔔JINGLE!

He enters the building and immediately smells the sweet and savory fragrances. There was a display case built in the counter, revealing cupcakes and sandwiches, the menu above with a good variety of coffee blends.

"Welcome, sir."

At the counter was a man with short, black hair, wearing an apron that said Jerald on the nametag.

"Are you here for a pickup?"

"Oh, no. just getting' some coffee, mon."

"Alright. Will that be here or to go?"

"I'll drink a black coffee, here, please."

"Coming right up. One black coffee for Dancing Rasta."

The Jamaican chuckles as he takes a seat from across the counter, putting his belonging on the other chair. He then texts his team saying he'll be at the stadium in half an hour. For now, he enjoys the peace and tranquility of this quaint shop.

'Dis shop looks brand new. I wonder...'

"Sir..."

'—should I have ordered a snack? It smells good.'

"Sir...hello~?"

Hearing a soft voice, he shifts his head sideways. His eyes meet a lovely girl with tan skin, thick eyelashes and wavy, raven-hair tied into a low ponytail. She portrays a smile, even though she wonders why he stares back so intensely.

"Um...your black coffee's ready."

"O-Oh, t'ank you, miss."

She sets it down.

"Will that be all?"

"Yes. Oh, wait...could I try a muffin?"

"Sure. We have double-chocolate, blueberry, banana nut, and snickerdoodle."

"I never heard of dat one. I t'ink I will try da snickerdoodle."

"Good choice. I'll be right back."

She turns her heel, but Rasta speaks out again.

"Wait."

"Yes?"

"I didn't catch your name."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Kalina."

She taps on her nametag.

"I usually work in the kitchen, so I don't come out very often."

"Are you a cook?"

"Technically a baker, but yes. Jerald and I run this place. We recently opened two weeks ago."

"De place looks great. I'll be sure ta' tell my team ta' stop by."

"I'm sure the 'supa rookie' must've mentioned it."

"Supa rookie...? Ah~ den you must be Shakes' cousin we heard so much about."
