I sink further into the couch while hearing the grand clock counting the seconds.

"Maybe something on the screen will kill some time."

I turn the TV on, and the Futbol360 News appears.

[In related news, the two home rivals, Supa Strikas and Invincible United, will go head-to-head in just a few days. Only one will come on top and move on to the finals. So, this should be an interesting roster.]

"If anyone can win the championship, it's those teams."

A chance to win the Super League Championship is hard to come by. Too bad my team won't get it this season. Sure, I've only started being captain for a couple months now, but that's no excuse for not giving my game 100%. Looks like I still got a lot to learn.

Just then, the tv turns into static. I change the channel, but nothing works.

Now the lights are turning on and off. I don't know what to do and just stay where I am as all the electronics go nuts.

*CLACK!*

That's when all power goes off at the same time.

"...O-kay~ that's not weird..."

I hear something from my backyard and go to investigate. Standing on the terrace, I look up and gasp in awe. A giant ball of light flies across the sky.

'Kind of looks like a comet. Seems pretty close, too...'

'Really close.'

'Oh shit—it is coming this way!'

I panic as the falling star approaches my house.

FWOOM~

"Uh!"

However, what I see next shocks me. Not only is the light getting smaller, but there's a figure attached to it.

*WHOO~OOSH*

A gust of wind circles right above my lawn, with the figure slowly levitating down. I rush over just as the light begins to fade.

*RUSTLE*

I manage to catch them in time.

"Woah..."

In my arms is a girl with strange markings on her skin that shine like the stars themselves. Good thing my place is private property, or I'd have crazy neighbors shouting at my door right now.

C-Clack!

Using my foot, I shut the sliding door and gently put the girl down on the couch. I can't help but stare, having so many questions running through my head. No matter how many times I pinch myself, I'm not waking up from this dream. This is actually happening. Someone literally fell from the sky.
