Chapter 5 Da Verminion

"WHAT HAPPENED?!" Sophie screamed as she arrived at Havenfield.

"..." Grady was speechless.

"The Verminion escaped and is going crazy..." Edaline answered.

"Ah so you're blaming the Verminion..." Sophie paused when she saw the Verminion and it was going crazy...

"OKAY WE HAVE TO GET THIS ALL CLEANED UP BEFORE A MEETING I HAVE WITH EVERYONE!" Sophie yelled as she began to pick everything up and put it where it had to go. The gnomes helped. Grady and Edaline went inside to eat mallowmelt.

"Okay finally done!" Sophie flopped down on the ground after an hour of running around.

Almost like they knew, everyone appeared at Havenfield, with the entire Collective that is-

"Why are you here?" Sophie asked Mr. Forkle.

"Ummmm...a talk with your parents..."

"Which of all of them?" Sophie immediately closed her mouth, almost revealing a big big big big big secret. Mr. Forkle sighed.

"I'm here to supervise this meeting and to make sure you and your friends aren't excluding me and the Collective from stuff about the Neverseen..."

"We are trying to have a Neverseen free day, and all this talk about the Neverseen is ruining it..."

"I'm sorry that I'm trying to make sure we have all the information possible and that it's shared with everyone!"

"Well I'm sorry that you can never let us know you're going to come instead of showing up just like that!" Sophie snapped back. Mr. Forkle sighed again.

"Sophie, just because-"

"Just because what?!"

"Just because you're the Moonlark doesn't mean you get to keep secrets from everyone!" Mr. Forkle finished.

"Well, you keep secrets from me don't you?"

"Name one, Sophie."

"My biological parents..." Sophie mumbled. Mr. Forkle rubbed his temples.

"I have a reason to keep that a secret..."

"Well I have a reason to know! I'm tired of being lied to! I'm tired of having secrets kept from me just because I'm the Moonlark!"

"We can continue discussing this another time. I'll be back later today. For now, you can talk with your friends..." Mr. Forkle mumbled something that started with 'You Kids' before light leaping away.
