CHAPTER 4 Brooke's POV

When I turn to see where the scream came from. The wind is knocked out of me at the horrible sight before my eyes. My first instinct is to run in the water and swim out to them, but that won't help. We need a boat. "c'mon!" Liam yells running toward a stack of canoes. Louis, Liam, and Niall quickly pile into the boat, leaving Kimmie, Harry, and I to watch as they paddle out to where we last saw Lena, and Zayn go under.

Liam's POV

It's a really good thing that part of the lake isn't very deep or we may have never found them. As we quickly paddle out to where they went under I see Lena pop up -thank god- we paddle as fast as we can over to her and help her into the canoe. "W-were's Zayn?" she whimpers I try to tune her out as I continue scanning the water for any sign of one of my best mates.

I'm losing hope when I suddenly see Niall rip his shirt off and dive into the water quickly followed by Louis. I've lost all hope no one could have help their breath for that long. Zayn's gone. "Liam!" Niall yells. My head snaps up and I see a sight that makes me want to cry Louis and NIall are holding Zayn up and I don't think he's breathing. "Oh my god.." I say under my breath paddling over to them as fast as I can by myself. When I finally get over to them I pull Zayn into the canoe and the boys climb in.

Brooke's POV.

As soon as the boat left Harry called for an ambulance. He was very calm and told them where we were and how to get here fastest. When he hung up all sense of calmness left is body as he started to freak out, Kimmie trying to console him the whole time. "guys they're coming back!" I yell. "Thank god!" Harry exclaims running over just as they pull up to help.

They've just layed Zayn on the ground as I hear the distant wails of a siren, seconds later the ambulance pulls into view instantly doctors, and nurses rush to Zayn putting him on a gurney in the back of the ambulance and starting CPR. As the doors are about to close Lena screams "Wait!" "Miss we have to go"the doctor says urgently "I'm coming with you." She says in a tone as if daring him to say no. "fine c'mon." The doctor says impatiently. . Lena hopped t the ambulance quickly. As the doctors shut the door and speed off. "Kimmie! Brooke! Boys!" Paul yells standing by his car. We rush over to him piling into the car as Paul speeds off. I can tell all the boys are near tears. They could possibly have lost one of their 'brothers'. Tears start to well up in my eyes as I think of the boy who was so full of life yesterday, not allowing myself to believe he's gone I look over and see a tear slowly slide down Liam's cheek. Without hesitation I take his hand in mine giving it a small squeeze. He looks at me with a sad expression as more tears spill out of his eyes. He leans forward and buries his head in my shoulder. When Harry sees this it causes him to lose it the tears are falling dow his face at tremendous speeds as Kimmie talks to him in a soothing voice. Minutes later we pull up in front of the hospital we barely let the car come to a halt before we burst out of the door and bolt towards the hospital. When we make it to the sliding glass doors we come face to face with Lena who launches herself into Louis' arms bawling her eyes out. "Shhshh what happened love>" he asks hugging her back. "T-the d-doctors s-said-" she doesn't finish before she bursts into tears again. "Hey hey sh... what did the doctors say?" Louis asks in a soothing voice. "There's an 85% chance he won't make it..." she says her voice barely above a whisper. We all burst into tears at her wods. As we cried we stumbled into the waiting room, waiting for the doctors to come in. As an hour passed we slowly lost all hope of Zayn waking up.

An hour and a half later the doctor comes in with a serious look on his face and says "I'm so sorry."
