Chapter Twelve: Exposed

I got their food and served them. "Enjoy," I said with a smile and head to another table. The whole time, Bella would look at me every now and then. I didn't know why though. After work, I saw Jasper waiting for me.I walked up to him and he gave me a kiss. "How was work?" he asked.

"It was fine," I said. He helped me inside the car and we drove to my apartment. "I saw Charlie's daughter Bella today at the diner. She kept looking at me," I said. I turned to Jasper. "Do you know why Edward look frustrated when looking at Bella at lunch," I asked. Jasper nodded his head. "Its her blood. She's Edwards singer," he said.

I remembered Carlisle explaining to me once. A vampire would fine a particular human nearly absolutely irresistible. The human would be known as a singer. Their blood sings to them. Vampires do find singers but, end up drinking their blood dry.

"So Edward is really craving for her blood then," I said shaking. Jasper notice the shaking in my voice and put a hand over mine. "Don't worry. I'm here to protect you if he goes wild," he said. I nodded my head. I started to calm down on my own without Jasper's powers.

We got to the apartment and walked me to the door. "Thank you," I said and kissed him on the cheek. "You're welcome ma'am," he said in an accent. That made me smile. I waved goodbye and walked into the apartment.

Next day...

I woke up and did my usual routine. I decided to wear a brown long sleeve shirt, a beige jacket, blue jeans, and brown shoes. I pulled my hair up in a braid. I got my bag and head out. I saw Jasper in a grey big jeep. Emmet was at the back. There was a red car with Rosalie driving while Alice was next to her. I didn't see Edward.

I walked towards them. Jasper came out and greeted me. "Good morning darlin'," he said and kissed my temple. "Good morning Jasper. Where's Edward?" I asked. "He went to Alaska to see our cousins the Denali for a few days," he said. I nodded my head. He walked me to the jeep. He opened the door and he lifted me up a bit from the waist in order to help me get into the jeep. Emmet strapped me into my seat and we headed off to school.

I saw Bella's truck as we drove to our parking space. Jasper helped me down and we all walked into the school. I saw her looking at us. I guess she was wondering where Edward was since he wasn't with us today. For the next few days, she had been looking at us even at lunch. She must really wanted to see Edward.

Few days later...

Edward came back. I was glad that he was alright. I was getting his thirst under control.

It was after school. Finally the weekend was starting. The Cullens and I were talking about Bella. She seemed to be becoming suspicious of us. I promised them that i wouldn't tell anyone about their secret. We saw Bella going to her truck. She set her bag on the hood and looked at us. I quickly turned my head toward Edward. He was looking at her intensely.

Next thing i knew, Tyler's van skid on the parking lot almost slamming into Bella and her truck. I saw Edward pushing the car to prevent Bella from being slammed into a pancake. {Is he crazy!}. He created a dent into the van. Edward quickly got up and walked away. People started to crowd around Bella. We took that cue to leave.

Jasper quickly walked me to my seat and we drove off. He dropped me off at work. I was worried about what could have happen today. There was so many things going on in my head. Will she get more suspicious? Will she find out about their secret? Will the Cullens have to leave? I really hope that it didn't come to that.

After work, I saw Jasper. I gave him a hug. "We are having a family meeting tonight and we want you there," he said. "Okay. Is it okay if I stay for the weekend?" I asked. I didn't have any homework. "Of course darlin'," he said. We quickly drove to my apartment to get some things. After I packed my bag, we drove to his house.

We were at the living room. I sat on Jasper lap. I listened to everything. "You know that your action affects all of us," Rosalie said angrily. "What do we do now?" Emmet asked. "We could leave," Edward said. I didn't like that. I started to feel scared. Jasper pulled me closer to him. I felt him using his powers to calm me down.

"People will get suspicious if we got up and left," Carlisle said. "What happens if she finds out. We would all be in danger," Rosalie said. I turned to her. "But, I know your secret. Aren't I a danger to you all?" I asked. She turned to me with a calm look. "You weren't suspicious about us. We trust you," she said. I nodded my head.

The Cullens had to be a bit more careful from now on so that Bella didn't figure out their secret. Esme made me carbonara and salad for dinner. "Thank you Esme," I said with a smile. "You're welcome," she said with a smile. It was great. I never got tired of the carbonara and salad.

Few days later....

We had a field trip for biology. I was going to be the youngest out of everyone. We walked through the greenhouse to see many amazing and beautiful plants. We were now walking back to the school buses to go home. I saw Bella and Edward talking. I could tell that she wanted some answers from him.

Alice walked over to them. I followed with Jasper behind me wit his arm around my waist. "Hi. Um...are you going to be riding with us," she asked Bella with a smile. "No, our bus is full," Edward said and walked into the bus. I followed Edward and Alice into the bus with Jasper.
