The Secret

Y/N POV

I walk down the streets of Vale with team RWBY looking at all the decorations being put up.

Weiss: "The Vytal Festival, what an absolutely wonderous thing."

Ruby: "You okay Weiss? I've never seen you smile like this before."

Y/N: *laughs*

Weiss: "How could you not smile? An entire festival dedicated to all the cultures of the world. There'll be everything from parades to a tournament. The amount of planning going into this is just breathtaking."

Yang: "You really know how to make something go from fun to boring."

Weiss: "Oh hush."

Yang: "Remind me why we're here on a Friday afternoon."

Weiss: "Students from Vacuo are said to be arriving today. Being the proud Vale representative that I am I feel that it is my sworn duty to welcome the students to this fine kingdom."

Blake: "Or you just want to spy on them so you can know their weaknesses."

Weiss: "You can't prove that!"

Ruby: "Wow, look over there."

We look and see police surrounding a store.

Ruby: "What happened?"

Officer: "Dust robbery, second one to happen this week. It just doesn't make any sense, why need so much Dust?"

Officer2: "You thinking the White Fang?"

Officer: "Thinking doesn't pay us."

Weiss: "The White Fang, what an awful bunch of scoundrels."

Blake: "What's with you?"

Weiss: "I simply don't care for the criminally insane."

Man: "Stop that Faunus!"

We turn around to see a monkey Faunus running up the dock and past us.

Yang: "You wanted competition and there it goes."

Weiss: "After him!"

We follow after the monkey and when we round a building we see Weiss on the ground.

Weiss: "Drat, he got away."

Yang: "Weiss?"

We follow Yang's finger and see a girl in a green dress underneath Weiss. 

Girl: "Salutations."

Y/N: *waves*

Yang: "You uh... wanna get up?"

Girl: "Yes."

The girl flips to her feet and gives us a neat salute.

Penny: "My name is Penny. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Ruby: "Hi Penny, I'm Ruby."

Weiss: "I'm Weiss."

Blake: "Blake."

Y/N: *mouths* "Y/N."

Yang: "Are you sure you're okay?"

Me and Blake both hit Yang in her stomach.

Yang: "Oh, I'm Yang."

Weiss: "Sorry for running into you."

Ruby: "Take care friend."

We walk away when somehow Penny gets in front of us.

Penny: "What did you call me?"

Yang: "I'm sorry, I didn't think you would hear me."

Penny: "Not you, you."

Ruby: "Me? I uh..."

Penny: "You called me friend. Am I really your friend?"

Ruby: "Sure. Why not?"

Penny: "Sen-sational! We can paint our nails, try on clothes and talk about cute boys like him."

She points to me which makes me look to the side slightly embarrassed.

Yang: "So what brings you to Vale Penny?"

Penny: "I'm here for the tournament."

Weiss: "You're going to fight?"

Penny: "I'm combat ready."

Weiss: "You hardly look the part."

Blake: "Says the one in a skirt."

Weiss: "It's a combat skirt."

Ruby: *zips to Weiss* "Yeah!"

They low five which makes me smile.

Weiss: "Wait, if you're here for the tournament does that mean you know that Monkey tailed rebel?"

Penny: "Who?"

Weiss: "The filthy Faunus that came by boat."

Blake: "Stop that."

Weiss: "Huh?"

Blake: "Stop calling him all these names, he's a person."

Weiss: "Then I suppose that trashcan is no longer a trashcan or that lamppost a lamppost?"

Blake: "Stop that!"

Weiss: "What? He broke the law. With enough time I'm sure he'll join those other psychopaths that call themselves the White Fang."

Blake: "You ignorant little brat!"

Weiss: "Excuse me!?"

Yang: "This can't be good."

Ruby: "You think they'll stop?"

Y/N: *mouths* "I honestly don't know."

We watch Weiss and Blake continue to argue even all the way back to Beacon. I head into my room and can hear them through the wall.

Weiss: "I just don't see how this is causing such a big problem."

Blake: "That is the problem."

Weiss: "You do realize you're defending an organization known to hate humanity right? The White Fang Faunus are pure evil."

Blake: "There's no such thing as pure evil. Why do you think they hate humanity so much? It's because of people like you."

Weiss: "Me?"

Blake: "Your discrimination."

Weiss: "I'm a victim. The White Fang has been at war with my family for years. I watched as board members and family friends disappeared or got executed. You know why I hate the White Fang? It's because they know nothing but to lie, steal, kill and cheat!"

Blake: "Well maybe we just grew tired of the constant disrespect!"

There is a moment of silence then a door slams and footsteps run past my door. I look out my window and see Blake under her bow revealing cat ears. I lay down on my bed and decide to just go to sleep for the night and hope for the best.
