"That's it I don't want to do another canyon run as long as I live." I told Annabelle squatting down to catch my breathe while she was guzzling the rest of her water. "Oh you know you enjoyed it." I looked up at her ad rolled my eyes. I grabbed my sweat towel from my black Lincoln and wiped my neck and chest. "Come on I have to get home to Kolby. The babysitter is probably pissed." I told Annabelle while she finished out her stretching. "Where's Nathan at?" "Oh he has some things to finish up in New York. So he is over there and getting all of our paperwork done and I'm here in the lovely L.A. sun." I told her letting out a laugh as so did she. "Well I'll be over Wednesday for our mommy and me yoga classes." I took a drink of my water then hugged her. "Okay sounds good Kolbs is looking forward to that I'll see you then!" She got in her car and me in mine and I headed back home.
I pulled into the garage and walked into the mudroom slipping off my shoes and being greeted by Bubba I squatted down and rubbed his head and kissing the top of his head. Nathan didn't think it was a good idea we brought him since we had Kolby but I wouldn't want him anywhere but with me. Plus he's a piece of Jason. I placed my keys on the island in the kitchen. "I'm home Rosa!" I walked all over the first floor they must be in the nursery.
I walked in and saw Rosa rocking Kolby in the rocking chair singing her some Spanish lullaby. I walked over to them and saw that she was asleep. "Thank you Rosa. If you want to lay her down you can go home if you would like. I'm going to hop in the shower and then I want to spend some time with her." "Okay Ms. Channing, thank you." I kissed Kolby's head and headed up the hall to my room.
-Nathan's POV-
I was sitting in the court room listening to judge Mathews on Jason's case. "I'm aware you were sentenced six years in prison. Is that right Mr. McCann?" He cleared his throat. "Yes Ma'am I was." I was watching her flip through his case file. I wanted nothing but Jason to stay as far away from my family as possible. "And I see you have been doing college classes and participating in volunteer work and you have had good behavior." I watch him as he sat straighter in his chair. "Ma'am. I have a little daughter and I understand what I did was wrong but.. she needs me and I want her to be proud of her father. I want to be in her life.. I want to be the father I never had." I can't help but feel like he was trying to tell me that. She took her glasses off and leaned forward. "All charges are dropped. You're a free man. You better not mess this up. And take care of that little girl, case dismiss." I couldn't believe it. He is free.
The love story is BACKKKK!!!! I have missed writing this love story! And all of you guys! I know it's short but I just wanted something because you al have been waiting for awhile some longer than others! I love you guys!
