I fidgeted at the sound of an air lock release and squeaking shoes, and slowly peeked out to the sight of at least 4 prisoners in the cell. I frowned and sat up, "Get out."
They turned around, startled that I was awake.
"Just go back to sleep girl, this isn't your concern." One of them spat.
"I said get out." I spat, standing up. They just laughed at me. I stalked over to one of them, getting nose to nose with him, "I suggest you leave while you still can."
He stood there, staring at me challengingly. I slowly nodded, "Okay, I get how it's gonna be."
I reared back and landed a punch right on his cheek, sending him to the ground with a thud. One of them then pulled out a knife, pressing it to my neck, ceasing my action of pursuit. I held my breath, keeping still as another grabbed my arms roughly, pulling Gamora up and yanking us out of the room.
They dragged us to the watch tower, where a guard stood by the controls.
"Take them down to the showers," he advised, "It'll be easier to clean up the blood down there."
Gamora struggled against our captors, grunting in anger. I clenched my teeth, yanking at my hold. "You son of a bitch." I spat as they pulled us down the walkway. I looked to the left, the sleeping quarters overflowing with prisoners. I saw Peter lying in the middle, like he never caught a wink of sleep. He glanced up, meeting my eyes as we passed.
Once we made it to the showers, I was shoved against a pillar, my back exploding in pain, making me groan.
"Gamora," a disgusting prisoner seethed, "Consider this a death sentence, for your crimes against the Galaxy."
"Leave her alone!" I shouted at him. He ran over, pressing the tip of the knife to the side of my neck, the blade puncturing my skin a bit.
"You have a pretty face," he said thoughtfully, sliding the blade across my lips, "Too bad it won't be after tonight." He grinned devilishly, walking back towards Gamora, knife to her throat.
"You dare!" A voice boomed. We all turned to the source, a large man standing with dark grey skin and detailed red designs all across his body. He slowly walked over to us, glancing at everyone.
"You know who I am, yes?" He asked.
"You're Drax," the prisoner said frightfully, "The Destroyer."
"And you know why they call me this?"
"Y-you slayed dozens of Ronan's minions."
He stood in between us all, "Ronan murder my wife, Ovette, and my daughter Camaria," he said, a pang of sadness in my heart, "He slaughtered them where they stood, and he laughed!"
He looked at the man, "Her life, is not yours to take," he turned to Gamora, "Ronan killed my family. I shall kill one of his in return."
"Of course, Drax." The scarred up prisoner agreed, handing over his knife.
Gamora looked between her captors, then grabbed one of their knives, slicing his neck. She turned around, kicking the knee of her other, a sickening pop echoing around the room. I gasped as she held the two knives to Drax and the prisoners neck.
"I am no family to Ronan, or Thanos," she spat, stepping back as she dropped the weapons, "I'm your only hope at stopping him-"
Drax shouted, holding her against the pillar by her neck, her yelping in pain.
"Woman, your words mean nothing to me!" He shouted.
"Hey, hey hey hey hey, hey!" Peter called, stepping out from behind the doorway. My eyes widened as him and Rocket came into view, Peter walking over slowly, his arms outstretched in a peaceful manner.
