"Hey, wake up." Peter said, nudging me. I muttered, "Go away."
Moments later, I felt his hand slap the back of my thigh, making me jump.
"You b- what!" I snapped, sitting up. Peter looked at me with an amused grin.
"You could've told me the reason you woke me up, you little prick."
"It is not a little-"
"What do you want?" I muttered, rubbing my eyes.
"We've arrived on Xandar."
I stretched, yawning. "Already? Wow, this piece of crap is fast."
"You are so rude to my ship, I swear."
I snorted, standing up. "I'll be up there in a minute, just let me get ready and show Bereet the way out."
"I already did that." He said, grabbing my belt for me. My eyes widened in surprise, taking the belt. "You showed her out? Wow."
"I also... apologised for forgetting her name and, well... her."
I smiled. "You're coming along nicely, Quill. I'm impressed."
He scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah, well, she also kinda lectured me on manners and stuff. Also told me to watch your wounds." he said, pulling me up after I tied my boots.
"Serves you right." I teased, waving him out. He climbed up the ladder, leaving me to finish getting ready.
After I put on a new shirt and my jacket, I set my guns in the holsters and grabbed the orb, climbing back up.
"Here's the orb." I said, setting it in his hand. He set my gloves in my hands, smiling. "Thanks, Lia."
We walked around Xandar a while, having it been a while since we've been here.
"I remember playing in those fountains while Yondu sealed deals with the Broker." I said, walking along the edge of the water. He nodded, "I remember when you slipped and fell, giving yourself a concussion."
"And then I remember going on a mission right after that." I laughed, walking up the stairs.
"I'll go check to see if B is open." I said, tapping his shoulder. He nodded as I jogged off.
I made it to the entrance, the doors sliding open.
"Yo, Broker. You in here?" I called. The small man walked inside, smiling at me. "Hello, Ms.Parkin."
"Hello, Broker. I was just coming to check and see if you were here, Peter's outside. Let me grab him real quick." I said. He nodded as I turned, jogging out to grab him.
I looked around, spotting him by the edge of the bridge.
With a woman.
I felt my stomach drop a bit as I watched him brush her hair behind her ear. I blinked, coughing a bit as I walked over.
"Hey Peter." I muttered, hitting his arm. He kept talking to the Xandarian woman, laughing.
"Hey, Peter, lets go."
He kept talking to her, almost ignoring me on purpose.
"Peter Jason Quill if you don't get your ass-" I threatened, his chuckle cutting me off, holding his finger up to the girl, turning to me. "Call me Star Lord." he whispered to me, then went back to talking to the girl. I glared at him, snatching the orb off his belt, holding it up as he looked back at me.
"Sun Queen, let's get going." I called, smirking as the woman started laughing. He closed his eyes in annoyance, bidding the woman farewell. I turned around, walking to the Broker, his footsteps coming up beside me.
