Naor saw Enoch from across the room. He waited for them to make eye contact. Enoch turned and started to wander towards Naor. Naor did the same. When they reached each other Enoch said, "Hey, I bet The Gardens are nice today." They went their separate paths.
Ten minutes later they both strolled into The Gardens.
"Anything?" Enoch started.
"Well...not much...except...you know..." his voice dropped to a barely audible whisper, "a key!"
Enoch's eyes went wide. "How on earth did you..."
"I jacked it from one of the officers who had a few more Libertas than he should have. I took it just in time, too: right before they dragged the body away."
"But officers don't drink Libertas. Even guards only sometimes drink them."
"Usually," Naor responded, "But this dude was different, I guess."
Enoch looked around again, "Where did you stash it?"
"Under the front, left leg," Naor whispered, "of the bench at the very back of The Garden circle."
"That's incredible."
They both sat down on a bench and listened to the Vaporizer hum for a while. Naor broke the silence.
"You know, I've been thinking..."
"That's dangerous." Enoch joked.
"I'm serious!" Naor growled glaring. Enoch went quiet. Naor paused, "I'm sorry. I just...I don't know if we are doing the right thing."
"You're not backing out, are you?" Enoch inquired surprised.
"No! Of course not!" Naor exclaimed. "Still, I have this feeling that we shoudn't go. I sort of...like it here."
He pulled out a small flask and opened it. Instantly a sweet aroma filled the air about them.
"What is that?" Enoch asked.
"I think it's called Captivitas or something." He took a swig and held it towards Enoch.
Enoch shook his head.
Naor shrugged.
