Ok, so about half of this book will be in journal form, and the rest will be in story form.

Hey Journal,
Mom gave me to you for my birthday. She thinks it will make it so that I won't spend so much time taking pictures on my camera. I don't really want to, but I'm writing in you to make her happy. I see her right now, staring at me from across the room. I only recieved you 5 minutes ago, but I can already tell I am going to be writing in you regularly, mainly because of the suspicious look I'm recieving. I have to go now, so I can open the rest of my presents. Thats right. I turned 14 today. I'm still in the middle of my family birthday party for me. My best friend, Kylla, dropped by today and gave me her present; a photograph album. The first few pages were filled wtih pictures of us, and and the rest were blank, for me to fill up. I must say, I cried a little. GTG.
Karlie
I slammed the cover of the journal shut. Ugh. I loved to write, but not what I was SUPPOSED to write. And I knew mom would be snooping in this. Its just her personality, so I have to be super careful.
"Honey, open my present now!" my Grandmother coaxed. She is the best Grandma in the world, and I wouldn't give her up for anything. My mom isn't my role model: she is.
I grabbed the small box that was addressed to me from my Grandma. I tore off the wrapping, and gasped. No. It couldn't be. It was the brand new camera, the Nissan 19th Version. It had extra clear aim, and perfect zoom. These cost a fortune.
"How did you_?" I was stunned.
"I have my ways." My Grandma was almost as happy as I was. Almost. I grabbed her, and hugged her tight around the waist. At 5'3, I was almost towering over her. This was seriously the best present EVER.
Sorry its so short. Its kinda just the introduction. The action will start at about Chapter 4-5. Thanks for reading!
