Chapter 2: Storm at Sea

Diego and Sid abandoned the search for Granny as Ellie, Noa, Leah and Victor appeared out of the trees and approached them

"Do you know where Manny and Peaches are?" Diego asked

"I thought Manny was with you and I have no idea where Peaches went" Ellie replied

"And you two must be her parents, right?" Diego asked the two sabers

"That's right, I'm Victor, and this is my wife, Leah" Victor introduced them both

"Have you found your Granny yet?" Noa asked Sid

"No, not yet" Sid sadly replied as Noa felt bad for the sloth and walked over to him and patted his shoulder

"Don't worry, you'll find her in the end" Noa reassured Sid

"I'm pretty sure Manny went after Peaches" Diego replied to Ellie

Ellie and Noa rolled their eyes when they heard a thumping coming from their right as they saw Peaches storming into the clearing with Manny behind her

"You can't control my life!" Peaches groaned as she kept walking

"I'm trying to protect you. That's what fathers do" Manny said

"Well... I wish you weren't my father" Peaches spat angrily at him as Manny halted and had a pained look on his face as Noa gasped silently

That was so harsh and unneeded, Noa also goes through a lot as a teenager, but it was no excuse for Peaches to treat her father like that

"She's just upset, honey. Peaches. It's not the end of the world" Ellie said to calm her daughter down, just then the ground started shaking and rumbling

"Whoa. Excuse me" Sid apologized while patting his belly

"I don't think that was you" Diego said, when suddenly the ground cracked that separated Manny, Diego, Sid and Noa from Ellie, Peaches, Leah and Victor

"What was that?" Ellie asked as she felt uneasy

"I don't know. Stay there. I'll come to you" Manny replied as he cautiously approached the crack, when he almost reached the top, the ground shuddered and the land that they were on crumbled down and made Manny and Noa fall due to the ground, Manny locked trunks in an effort to stay with his mate as the land started moving away, Sid screamed and latched onto Diego's neck while Noa tried to stand up and hold her balance as the ground shifted underneath them

"Ellie!" Manny called out helplessly as he tried to hold onto Ellie

"Manny! No!" Ellie yelled as the two lost their grip and Manny fell back as Peaches, Leah and Victor gasped and hurried to the edge

"Noa!" The two sabers exclaimed

"Dad!" Peaches yelled

"Peaches, get back! Whoa!" Manny shouted as the land tilted backwards and he ran to the mainland and tried to jump across

"Hurry, dad! Hurry!" Peaches urged as Noa saw that the land moved to far away from the others, Diego was the closest to Manny and definitely the fastest

"Diego!" Noa cried, whether he heard her or not he had the same idea in his head and ran to Manny

"Manny!" Diego shouted as he pushed the mammoth's side before he could jump

"Diego!" Manny snapped angrily at Diego

"You never would have made it" Diego argued as chunks of ice fell down while Manny and Noa looked helplessly at their own families
