"Good morning." Carina mumbled as she noticed that Maya opened her eyes.

"Good morning." Maya whispered, snuggling up to Carina's neck, breathing in the Italian's scent.

"What do you want to do today?" Carina asked as she gently stroked the blonde's cheek.

"I wanna go for a run then being with you as much as I can." Maya sighed.

"Sounds good to me." Carina smiled.

"I have an idea." Maya tilted her head up so she could look into her girlfriend's eyes.

"What is it, bella?"

"We should go to the beach. Spending the day there. Just you and me."

"That's a nice idea, but it's cold outside."

"I know, but it would be so romantic. Us cuddling under a blanket on the beach." Maya said.

"You're so soft, Maya." Carina laughed.

"Only when it comes to you." Maya smiled and pressed their lips together.
"So? What do you say? Do you want to go?"

"Yes. I want to." Carina whispered and pressed their lips together. "But I want to do something else too." She said and straddled Maya, leaning down to kiss her again.

"We have a lot of time." Maya smirked and slid her tongue into Carina's mouth, then moaned into it when the brunette started to tease her center.

After their morning activity, they had lunch and got ready to go to the beach.

"I'll grab my baseball cap, I'll be back in a minute." Maya said before they could leave the house.

"Okay." Carina smiled. "I'll walk to the car."

"Okay." Maya yelled.

"Oh, Ms. DeLuca?" The postman asked.

"Yeah?"

"This is yours. Have a nice day." He said handing a letter to the brunette then nodded his head and went to the next house. Carina saw that it's from the immigration department which made her heart skip a beat. She quickly opened and read it while Maya was still in the house.

"I'm here babe, we can go." Maya smiled at the brunette. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, sure. Let's go." Carina smiled and they got into their car.

Since it was Covid there wasn't many people on the beach so they just sat down, cuddled under the blanket they brought with themselves and enjoyed their day off. Carina tried to be calm and distract herself with the beautiful blonde next to her but she couldn't. She has to renew her visa otherwise she has to leave the country. And if that's the case, it means she has to be thousands of miles away from her love.

1 month until the leaving

"You're snapping at everyone. I get if it's stressful or is it just grief but I wouldn't be a good girlfriend if I didn't ask. Are you okay?" The fire captain asked her girlfriend as she pulled the tall woman away from the blonde's colleagues in the station. Carina was stressed, she was mad at everyone and she really wasn't in a good mood.

"My visa is expiring and I might have to go back to Italy." Carina said after she took her mask off.

"What?"

"I wanted to renew but the president just shut down all of the immigration centers."

"How can he do that?"

"Maya, I don't have time to teach you about the screwed up immigration laws of this country, I have patients." Carina snapped walking back to the door but Maya grabbed her wrist.
