Hello! This oneshot is for @SARCASTIC_HEART_GIRL
Lu followed the rest of her group down long corridors of hallways. She had just been through the worst week of her life. Though she had lost track of how much actual time passed she knew it had to be about the length of seven days. She continued after her group until they entered a small aditorium. As she walked inside all the way she noticed all the other people walking inside. She sat down in the farthest chair from the front, and slid down. She hoped she couldn't really be seen.
Pretty soon a few boys entered. She watched as they all walked in and greeted each other sadly. She saw the one she had before. Though he looked cleaner she could tell it was the same limp, the same blond hair, and the same brown eyes, though they were more dull than the hopeful ones she had seen in the Berg coming back from the Scorch.
He sat down and visibly sighed. Lu knew she had some sort of feelings, but she didn't know wht they were. Her stomach churned with expectation. Pretty soon the opossom faced man stood in front of them all.
"Take a seat." He spoke to everyone, "We have a few things to go over before we remove the swipe." He said. Lu gasped. She had heard a few people mention it as they went down the halls. She looked around and noticed the recognition in everyone's eyes.
After a few things were explained to them before they were ordered to walk back down the halls to a room.
"Why do I have the distinct feeling Rod Sterling is gonna be behind that door?" She heard someone ask. She looked over and saw it was the boy.
"Cause it seems we'd be in the Twilight Zone right now." She replied smiling. He turned back to the door.
Once opened they all shuffled inside.
"Now. Some of you are immune to the Flare. But...some of you aren't. I'm going to go through the list-- please do your best to take it calmly." He continued, "For an expariment to provide accurate results one needs a control group. We did our best to keep the virus from you as long as we could. But it's airborne and highly contagious." He paused once again taing in every ones gazes.
"Jusst bloody get on with it," We all figured we had the buggin disease anyway. You're not breaking any hearts." The boy was like a twig in her hair. She new it was there somewhere, but no matter how much she looked for it it never showed up. A few more people spoke too, but Lu was too busy trying desperately to remember him. She watched bunch of people gasp, and more than a few tears were shed over something she didn't even hear. She was soon ushered over to a chir with a scary looking mask with tubes sticking out the sides, all the wile she was trying to piece the bits togethr on who he was.
The mask was placed on her face. There was a slight buzzing somd and a pinch. But then things started rushing back quickly. Much faster than she was comfortable with. She gasped and opened her eyes.
Suddenly things became clear.
"Thomas!" She saw herself laugh as the boy from before grabbed her hand as they walked down one of the cold steril hallways.
"Come on, Lana!" He smiled. Lana? Lana. It was her name. She remembered that now, "Why couldn't we just get out of here?" He asked her.
"Because! We'll freexe to death out there!" HShe laughed.
"Not if we only go out for a few minutes!" He smiled his charming smile and convinced her. Somewhere they had found big coats, and they went out to the icy sidewalk and stode about. It was unnervingly quiet before he turned to her.
" It's nice out here, don't yo thinnk?" He asked. She nodded and they slid around on the ice for while before it started lightly snowing. She looked up.
"This is the first time I've ever seen it be snowing, nd not raining, or sleeting." She said. Lu, who was now Lana, remembered the feelings she had about seeing snow, and about him. She smiled at the memory.
She suddenly looked arond. He had to be here somewhere. She saw him about to leave the room she was in. She jumped up and grabbed his hand.
"My Thomas." She whispered. She ha only gotten a taste of his lips before he was dragged out the door. She gasped.
He was gone. Her Thomas was drgged out of sight. And she didn't know how to find him again.
