Hi so this is inspired by my love of Line of Duty and Brooklyn 99 so's a bit of a mismatch of both's worlds.
Swearing and violence warning...

DC - Detective Constable
PC - Police Constable
DI - Detective Inspector (A higher rank)

"Where's Faye when you need her?" H asked Lisa as he tried not to watch Mick completely fail at talking to the lost girl they'd been presented with by the receptionist. Faye had a natural ability to look after and calm small children, and because Claire was out she was the only person around able to (H and Lisa could but after several incidents of scaring children generally weren't allowed to do so together by the others).
"Probably crying in the bathroom. Well that's certainly where she was going just before we went to collect the girl." Lisa replied honestly.
"Why now?"
Lisa sighed. "Lee's been away six months tomorrow. Yeah... actually I should go check on her thinking about it." She left H with her tea and headed down the hallway. She was right, Faye was in there, trying to wash tear-stains off her face. Lisa took a deep breath and went to join her.
"It's okay Faye. Another few months and he'll be back I'm sure of it." Lisa told her.
Faye nodded. "I know but what if something horrible happens to him?"
"Nothing will sweet, he'll be fine." Lisa assured her. "By the way we're in charge of another child again, we're waiting for her parents to come get her."
Faye smiled. "Is it a legal requirement that you lot find a lost child for me to calm down within the last hour of our shift?" She joked.
Lisa laughed. "Well..."

"Oh you didn't let Michael be in charge of her!" Faye moaned as they walked back into the office.
"Well Mick and Johnny, but he didn't do all that much." Lisa replied.
"Smithy allow me and Lise to look after her." Faye called across the room.
Mick let out a sigh of relief and sent the little girl over to Faye while Lisa went to reclaim her tea.
"Hello, I'm DC Tozer, but you can call me Faye." She said to the girl. "What's your name?"
"Lucy." The little girl whispered. "I think you came to school last year with your boyfriend."
"Do you?" She asked. The little girl nodded. "Lee and I might have done. They like sending me to back to school see."
Lucy laughed and Faye smiled.
"I think you already met Lisa." Faye told her when Lisa was done trying to hit H with a notebook in the kitchen. "We'll look after you for a bit."
Her and Lisa took Lucy round the office building, though much of the communication was left up to Faye because Lisa was too busy drinking tea. They both knew that talking to someone about something unrelated to Lee helped Faye feel better anyway. Lucy relaxed more with time, eventually giggling at the women's silly jokes. When they made it back to the main office Lucy sat by Faye's desk, though it wasn't long before her mum arrived.
"Oh Lucy!" Her mum exclaimed. "Are you okay?"
Lucy nodded, and Faye got the mum to sign a form to take Lucy home.

"What's up? Lee worries?" Mick asked as he walked past her desk. She'd been staring at a picture stuck to her computer for about five minutes and he knew someone needed to talk to her before she started crying.
Faye shook herself back to reality and nodded. "Also I think little Lucy gets lost a lot."
"She said she'd never been here before." Mick replied.
"Mmm... I swear I recognised the mum from a few weeks ago. Maybe a sibling... I'll have to keep an eye out." Faye mused. It was something to keep her busy while she waited for the news Lee would be coming out of his undercover operation. Her mind slipped away into daydreams again, imagining the moment Lee next came into the office.
"It won't be much longer Toze." Mick assured her softly.
"I'm still worried." She told him. "What if something bad happens to him now, it's been months since we last told each other how much we love each other and... you know..." Faye trailed off, realising the rest of her comment may not stay on the lines appropriate for a police station.
Mick sighed. "He almost certainly misses you as much as you miss him."
Faye nodded. Mick had never been great at comforting people, she expected nothing else, though at least he'd given it a go.
