Chika: You need to become stronger than that if you plan on defeating stronger demons. I know you took down an Oni, but don't get a big head now.
Takeshi: You sound like my mom now. So what kind of training are you going to have be do?
Chika: One thousand sword swings every day, running up and down the mountain three times, fetching water from the river, and hunting so I can cook. I will help you with the hunting. I also have this scroll with samurai stances you can practice on your own since you wield a katana.
Takeshi: That sounds like a lot of work but I'm up for it. How about some one on one training with you?
Chika: We can do that after a week of your regular training. Your training begins now.
Narrator: Takeshi started with the mountain run. It took him some hours to complete that part of the training. Next came the hunting where Takeshi and Chika worked together on. As they hunted boars they were also improving their team work. Takeshi also showed Chika how to fish and they caught a lot of fish. After the hunting was done Takeshi started doing his sword swings. In the meantime Chika cooked rice, the boar, and soup. On the side she had tomatoes as well.
Takeshi: Ahh my arms are sore. I'm really hungry now though. Woah you cooked a feast Chika!
Chika: It's nothing special. You have to take a bath before you eat though. Come I'll show you some hot springs up here. The hot springs should help sooth your sore arms. What are you waiting for? Get in?
Takeshi: You're here. I can't undress here.
Chika: Alright I will be waiting down here then. Don't stay too long in the springs.
Takeshi (thinking): Chika is so different from the girls from my village. She is more bold than all of them. Aaah! a refreshing bath. This feels so good. I can't believe I'm a half-demon now. I wonder how my family is doing. I miss my brothers and my mother. I wish father was still alive as well. Chika said these nightmares would happen less, but I still feel guilty for not being able to protect my father. Enough thinking time to get some food now.
Narrator: Takeshi rushed to the camp site they were staying at. The site had a fire pit and a makeshift hut Takeshi and Chika built.
Takeshi: I'm starving. I'm ready to eat. Thanks for the meal.
Chika: Thanks for the meal.
Takeshi: Yummy! You sure know how to cook. You will make a good wife one day.
Chika: I'll be lucky to find a man that wants to marry a shinobi.
Takeshi: Don't say that. You may be a shinobi, but you can cook and you are pretty as well.
Chika: Oh stop it. Don't think flattery will make me go easy on you on the training.
Narrator: After dinner Takeshi said good night to Chika. She went to the hut to sleep, but Takeshi stayed up till morning practicing the sword stances. The scroll had the stances O Gasumi, Seigan No Kamae, and Jodan No Kamae. Later in the morning he went to sleep outside the hut.
Chika: Wake up it's time for training.
Takeshi: Give me a few more minutes.
Chika: I said wake up!
Takeshi: Ok..ok.
Narrator: A week later Takeshi and Chika had their one on one training. Takeshi used the sword stances he had been practicing and out of ten battles he won two of them. He even beat the kappa in a few seconds in the last two battles.
