"is this even okay?" sunghoon asked.
"why wouldn't it be?" jay replied back.
"i mean its already second semester and some of us aren't that far from graduation— basically what im saying is, is it alright to take a break instead of using it to study or prepare for finals or like other stuff we need to worry about." sunghoon explained.
"of course the rank 1 will say something like this." heeseung said and the whole group laughed. "baby you need to have a little break okay?" jake said trying to encourage his boyfriend to agree with the group's plan to take a break in niki's resort.
"we leave today?" sunghoon asked. "yup, i'll pick everyone at 3pm sharp." jay announced.
"okay— everyone leave! i need to pack." sunghoon shouted. "hyung, you act like you own this place." niki said.
"what's his is mine." sunghoon said and walked upstairs, not forgetting to steal a peck from his boyfriend.

they all arrived in jay's resort. the sun was just about to set once they stepped inside the lobby. while half of the group was pre-occupied, jay went to the main desk and asked for their room keys. once it was given to him, they all quickly arranged their rooms.
"jay, is there anyone else here?" sunghoon asked.
"nope, i told my parents to reserve the resort for us. and there wasn't that much people trying to reserve a spot here so they pulled some strings and refunded their stay." jay answered.
"how did your parents make them agree?" sunoo asked curiously.
"they booked them a stay in our other resort in gangwon-do." jay said casually.
"there are small rooms inside that building, but my dad wants us to stay in those villas right there." jay said pointing towards their villas.

just as expected, all the couples will be in the bigger rooms while heeseung and jay will be in the smaller rooms.
all of them decided to just rest for a few hours and jay will message the groupchat when its time to eat.
"woah." jungwon said as he entered the room. the room inside had a bathroom, mini livingroom with a kitchen, the bedroom, and a balcony which had a bathub and a slide that goes down to the ocean.
"there's two rooms." geonu said as he arrived inside. "which room do you want?" geonu said facing towards jungwon.
jungwon was a bit sad since it's been a long time since the couple has ever slept at the same bed. he just chose the first room he saw and just brought his luggage inside and started to unpack a bit.
"hey, ill head out for a while." geonu said while jungwon was fixing some of his toiletries in the bathroom.
"can i come with?" jungwon asked showing his warm smile only for it to disappear again when the older declined.
"no, its okay. it'll just be quick and its cold outside." (LIKE WHEN YOU WALKED OUT MY LIFE. WHY YOU WALK OUT MY LIFE?? heh im sorry🙂✌🏻) geonu explained. before the younger could say something back— the older already walked out of the door leaving a sad jungwon.

geonu knocked in front of someone's room. the door opened revealing a surprised heeseung. geonu stepped inside his room, but before heeseung follows the younger he checked if there was anyone outside. he went inside when he was sure that there was no one looking at their direction.
"why'd you come here? did anyone see you out?" heeseung asked. he was a bit worried that someone would catch them. "relax. no one was outside. i wouldn't come here if there was." geonu replied.
heeseung then softened his expression and took geonu's hands as he led the two of them to his bed. they both just cuddled with each other until the older broke the silence.
"shouldn't we make things right?" heeseung asked geonu. geonu then faced the older checking to see if he was serious. "they'll hate us." geonu stated.
"as much as i want everything to be peaceful and to finally be with you, we can't." geonu stated the facts. heeseung sighed. "the more we hide this, the more jungwon is going to get hurt."
"i know, its just hard. jungwon is really soft and what we're doing is clearly wrong, but i just cant stand to see him hurt again. im not saying this because im labeled as his boyfriend, but because he's my friend." geonu explained.
"okay, we'll give him time love." heeseung said and hugged the younger tighter.
"i love you, lee geonu." heeseung said and kissed his forehead. "and i love you more, lee heeseung." geonu smiled.
🎞 flashback time 🎞
it's been almost a month after the geonu agreed to meet heeseung secretly. it was wrong, but they both were happy.
geonu remembered how the two gave up their relationship because heeseung got busy with the company. geonu got tired of waiting and waiting for the older's replied, but there was none. daily messages turned into weekly in which turned into monthly.
whenever they had freetime they would see each other or face time, but that wasn't enough to save their relationship.
heeseung was tired of making promises and geonu was tired of waiting for it to be fulfilled.
when heeseung saw the younger again, he immediately contacted him. however, the younger was in a relationship. he was devasted of course and his mind was full of regret.
geonu couldn't stop thinking about the older and he thought it was unfair for jungwon so he planned to end his relationship, but the younger knocked in his house crying cause his family was on the verge of separation. he even remembered the younger's desperate request.
"hyung, please don't leave me. my parents are going to separate and i dont want that to happen to us. i love you so much so please dont leave me." jungwon cried already on his knees begging that the love of his life won't leave him.
geonu was stunned. he couldn't continue with his plans and just brought his boyfriend closer to him. "i wont leave you, jungwon." geonu promised as he rubbed his hands on the younger's back. jungwon clings unto him more, tears staining the older's hoodie as geonu tries to whisper sweet words to him.
and geonu knows the next few words he would utter wouldn't be a hundred percent true, but he had no choice but to say it.
"i love you too jungwon." as soon as those words left the older's mouth, a tear fell from his eye.
'im sorry heeseung.'
