3 YEARS LATER...

"welcome back bro!" sunghoon said as his bestfriend just came back from his flight to new york.

jay walked to his friends direction looking like he just came from a runaway. he was wearing a black turtleneck paired with black trousers and that is layered by a grey coat. he was also wearing his prada shoes and his newly launched bag.

"no wonder why you're brand is at the top." jake joked when his friend was already in front of them.

jake came with sunghoon to pick up jay. jay's branch in new york suprisingly did so well that it wasn't hard to build up its name in the state. he ultimately granted one of his high workers to manage the company in new york so he can come back to seoul.

"it's been a while." jay said.

"bro, three years is no joke man. i can't believe you were almost going to miss our wedding." sunghoon said.

"your lucky enough that i even came here a week earlier. i was supposed to roam around in new york for a little bit and then come back." jay replied.

"and plus. you didn't even tell me about you and jake's marriage. i only found out you were engaged like 8 months ago from an article. i even messaged you and you said that your wedding will be next year." jay added.

jake laughed at the two bickering, "you two, stop. love, jay just came back from new york—he should get some rest already. why not go to our car already?"

"okay love, let's eat too since you might be hungry." sunghoon replied.

"i don't know if its my jet-lag, but i really want to puke right now." jay stated and dragged his luggage to follow the two.

"you're just jealous." sunghoon teased.

"tss- whatever." jay rolled his eyes.

JUNGWON

"guess who's back?" sunoo announced as he entered my apartment.

"you don't have to remind me." i replied.

"jungwon, you still haven't moved on? it's been three years—are you sure you two can't even be just friends?" sunoo asked.

he was looking at me, waiting to reply. but i just gave him a questionable look. the one that says 'why the fuck you even asking me about this'

"you guys haven't even had contact for the past three years. dont you think it's about time the two of you should patch things up. not as people who had romantic feelings, but as friends." sunoo added.

i chuckled lightly when he mentioned 'friends'. i stared at him and let out my thoughts.

"three years ago—i thought i still had a chance. three years ago—i was going to fight for him. and three years ago—he broke my heart again."

"you didn't even get to talk to him though." sunoo said.

"but i saw enough." i replied.

🎞 FLASHBACK 🎞

i just got off from the airport in new york and immediately went to jay's fashion show that was today. i wanted to be there for him on his biggest event and congratulate him after the show.

i saw the chauffeur i had called and went inside. i instructed him head to the fashion first and just come back once i call on him. i left my only luggage inside the car since he'll also be the one taking it in the hotel i'll be staying in.

once i arrived at the event, i went to the entrance and said my name for them to allow me to head inside. i was assigned to sit near the back since the people at the front were editors, celebrities, and even other designers.

the show started a couple minutes later and i was already proud of jay. the designs were great—he's great. i blushed at my own thoughts and focused back to the show.

jay was the last to walk since he was the designer and president of the company. but when i saw the smile he showed to everyone—i couldn't help but think it isn't real.

i wanted to scream his name already, but of course, i didn't want to cause a scene. so after the show, i went backstage since i had a pass. i then smile once i saw him. he was facing the opposite way as me so i discretely ran in his direction.

however, i stopped when a girl around his age hugged her. he hugged back and smiled to her and even said a few words to her that was inaudible for me.

i breathe in and walked towards his direction again, but i stopped again when i saw her giving him flowers. i then turned around and just walked out of the building.

"you're always too late, jungwon."

END FLASHBACK

"but you'll still attend jake and sunghoon's combined bachelorette party right?" sunoo asked.

"as much as i really dont want to, ill still go. its jake and sunghoon's night anyways."

"great!! don't worry, it'll be fun. think of it as a reunion." sunoo mentioned.

"well, he'll definitely have fun. he moved on anyways."

its been a while😅. first of all, im sorry for updating so late. second of all, sorry for the short chapter.

i've just registered to take the sat in may and well—I NEEDA STUDY😭. also since when has online school pushed teachers to give out more assignments for the students😤.
