Steve's pov:

"Coulson, it's been almost 3 months now." I say when I walk into the office.

"If you're here to tell me to rest you better go back to the others."

Coulson arrived here injured three months ago. He told us HYDRA took over S.H.I.E.L.D. and kidnapped a few agents along with his adopted daughter (y/n). We found the agents at a HYDRA base but (y/n) was not there. Coulson has not stopped searching, he is awake day and night and falls asleep on his desk.

"We did everything we could Coulson, if     (y/n) wasn't with the other agents, maybe she is...."

"No! Don't you dare say that! I know she's alive I just know it!" He says. You can see the tiredness, his eyes are red and he looks pale with big bags under his eyes.

"I won't stop looking until I find her. Even if I might be looking for her dead body, I won't stop."

I nod and go back to the other avengers.
Loki has defeated us but we are going to take back Earth when we can.

Well without Thor and Bruce or The Hulk... We have no idea where they are. We think Loki is holding them somewhere. We just don't think about the worst that could have happened to them...

I see Natasha looking at me hopefully but that look immediately disappears when she sees mine. "I'm sorry" I say, "He doesn't want to listen."

"You were our last hope, you're his idol." She says.

I'm a little disappointed in myself that I couldn't convince him, but no one has succeeded yet.

"I'm sorry to say it, but I really think there isn't any hope left for her..." stark says with a sad look.

I don't know (y/n), but I know she's very young. Too young for everything she goes through or has been through. Stark, Natasha and Clint know her from Coulson. I know Clint and Natasha had to look after her when Coulson went to New Mexico on a mission. They said that as a little girl she could tie Stark around her finger like it was nothing, and that's hard with Stark.

When they heard the news, they were upset themselves. They wanted to find her immediately, but slowly they lost hope.

"He still has hope."

"What if she's still alive? Then we have to find her, right? What if we give up and she's still alive?" Clint says.

Clint had the hardest time. Apparently he knew her parents and, like Coulson, knows her from birth.

"HYDRA bases are still popping up and she must be somewhere." Peter says.

"It does not make it easy that Loki is now working with HYDRA. If someone finds our secret base, we have nowhere to go. And with HYDRA and Loki searching for us, we are on slippery ice." I say

"Wait turn up the TV. " Clint says

Good evening everyone, today there is great news for all the people cooperating with King Loki including Police, the army, the mayors, HYDRA agents and MPs.
The king will give a reception tomorrow, all invited guests will know for themselves that they are welcome.
He will give a speech that will be broadcast live on TV.
All guests are asked to come in their best clothes.
He expects a gown for the women and a suit for the men.
This was a short break, thank you for your attention and have a nice evening.

"He's having a reception?" Natasha says

"And he didn't invite us." Stark says in a sarcastic voice.

"That is not entirely true." I turn to see Bucky standing in the doorway.

"I haven't fought Loki yet, he only knows me as the winter soldier."

"Bucky n-" I start but he interrupts me.

"I can go undercover."
"There will be HYDRA agents what if they recognize you? " Natasha asks.
"I need someone for that... "

"Oh no, I know what you want and it's not gonna happen." I say walking towards him.

"Zemo can tell them he's got me back under control. I can look around the reception and explore the palace as far as I can. We have nothing to lose."

"Yes we have, you."

"I'll be fine. If we know an entrance, we can more easily attack from within. besides, I can gain his trust, maybe he will hire me as a 'soldier'." He says

"It's a good plan." I shoot Stark a glare.

"No it isn't it's dangerous." I say.
