Today is Valentine's day and I'm pretty nervous. Senior-Junior prom is next month, and I know me and Reggie are dating so it's probably a no brainer that we're going together, but I still want to ask him officially. Oh yeah, it's a Sadie Hawkins dance. I've got it planned, but it's still kind of nerve-wracking. He's gonna say yes right? I've got nothing to worry about. I think.
Right now, I'm getting ready for our valentines date. Reggie is surprising me so I've got no idea what to expect. Who knows what goes through that boy's head sometimes. I finish getting ready as I hear a knock on my bedroom door. I turn around to see Alex walking in and sitting down on my bed.

"Liz you look beautiful. Reggie is going to die when he sees you" He gushes, but I can still hear the slight sadness in his voice. I go and sit next to him on the edge of my bed, letting out a sigh.
"Al, I know today is probably going to be pretty hard for you, especially because there's band rehearsal and my surprise for Reg later on. Do you want me to stay here with you? I'm sure Reg would totally understand if I had to cancel-" I'm cut off my rambling by Alex speaking up
"No, of course not! You don't have to miss your date just because I'm lonely, besides, Reggie has been wracking his brain about what he should do so that it'd be perfect. I'd be kind of an ass to ruin it for you guys. I'll be fine, go enjoy your day" he assures me as we hear a knock on the front door. Alex gets up from the bed, turning to me as I also stand up and pat my dress down
"I'll go let him in before they get a chance to" Alex tells me and I nod my head as I check I have everything before walking down the stairs. When I get to the bottom, I see Alex and Reggie in the middle of a conversation. Alex notices my presence, and nods towards me making Reggie turn around, the both of us instantly making eye contact. I notice Reggie's jaw drop as he takes a look at me causing me to lower mine in an attempt to hide the blush that is quickly making a home on my face.
As I lift my head again, I take a good look at him and I'm pretty sure I end up matching his face. He looks hot! my breath catches in my throat just looking at him.
