"How do you feel?" The doctor asked while looking at the pregnant man laying down and the man's husband who stood right beside the blonde "nervous" jimin spoke "Excited" and jungkook added holding his husbands hand while the doctor fondly smiled at the couple "glad you could join us today Dr.Jeon" pouring the cold gel on jimins bump before placing the transducer on top "there's your little one"
They both turned to look at the screen cheeks hurting at their wide smiles as they stared at the monitor "now if you listen closely... you can hear the heartbeart"
The room fell silent but soon from the monitor the light sound of a heartbeat filled their ears "oh my..." eyes filling with tears at the soft sound of their child's heart, but the sound was replaced by one of an alarm making the doctors head snap to the door "that isn't good" he didn't say more before running to the door and opening it "I will need you to stay here and lock the door" he closed the door and jungkook right away locked it hearing as footsteps passed by along loud voices "J-jungkook?" Panick rushing over the blonde man who sat up "what's going on?" His husband walking to his side and pulling him close "it's a code silver someone in the hospital is armed but everything will be alright, we will be safe, okay?" Jimin nodded but he didn't seem so convinced the tension in his shoulders giving him away "I won't let anything happen to you or the baby" pressing a kiss to the blondes forhead.
After a while of waiting the couple sat together while waiting for further notice whether it was safe to come out or not, suddenly the sound of footsteps appeared right outside the door where someone was trying to force open the door to the room making jimins heart beat increas as well his breathing "calm down" jungkook whispered close to his ear pulling him closer "give me one long breath and two shorts" and with slight difficulty the blonde did so "we found one of the inmates!" A voice spoke from outside followed by two gunshots making jungkook hug tighter jimin who hugged him back tight as tears welled up in his eyes "take a deep breath"
The blonde couldn't hear at the sudden commotion happening right outside "t-the baby" his glossy eyes looking up at his husbands as well glossy ones "i- I can't f-feel movement" his words making the black haired man jump off of the bed "the baby is alright, now take two long breaths, I need you to calm down for the baby" jimin tried following what he was being told but the loud voices coming from outside the room didn't help, jungkook found a stethoscope and he didn't waste time to place it against his husbands belly and hearing to then hand it over to the blonde "listen" a reassuring look and when jimin had the stethoscope on he let out a shaky breath at hearing the baby's heartbeat "it's okay, take a deep breath"
His own heart hammering against his chest as he still could hear what was happening outside before he heard the speaker "the armed persons have been apprehended the place is safe" but jungkook didn't make his husband take off the stethoscope as the man was being soothed by the sound of their baby's heart beat "we are okay"
