Since a doctor couldn't operate at his best when he was agitated, or flustered. Kane had been conditioned to be composed all the time. However, the call from Alyx earlier brought him inexplicable anxiety, fear, and anger mixed up all together. When he saw her condition when she arrived at the emergency room, his knees gave out. He talked to his doctor and trusted friend to take care of her since his mind wasn't functioning like it was supposed to. When Yanarym was stabilized, like Alvan, he also did not leave her side and watched what would happen in the next few moments.

Kane knew Yanarym was already in good condition, so he could proceed and check his other patients. But seeing her still unconscious, he couldn't avert his eyes on her even for a second.

He remembered, two years ago, he operated on his father for his heart complications. Even though his father had woken late he wasn't worried at all. Since then, he has not figured out why his fellow doctors were forbidden to touch their family members. When in fact it was a great honor to cure with your own hands the person who raised and cared for you to reach the place where they are now.

Then, this happened and he realized it's not a baseless hospital law. Many doctors, no matter how good they are, if the person in the operating bed was the person who was most important to them. None will not be able to think in clarity. They can't afford to witness its last breath because of a mistake they could have made in the operating table. Fortunately, she did not need any surgery. Because of the inflammation of her airway, she just needed a tube inserted into it to regulate her breathing.

Whenever he sees Yarisa in the hospital bed he would unconsciously look away. Now he knows why, since the two were very identical, when he sees Yarisa lying lifeless and only living with the help of machines, he also sees Yanarym in her situation. All the bad scenarios formed in his mind. He feared that Yanarym would be in the same situation as Yarisa. Leaving him one day because he couldn't do anything to save her life. Then, his purpose would be meaningless. How can he cure others if he couldn't save her?

Because of what also happened today, he doesn't think he could even face Yarisa anymore. He had to find a better doctor than him to wake Yarisa. A miracle or whatever may it be, he will do his best for the twins.

"Still asleep?" Alyx sighed, he looked at the hospital bed and saw Yanarym sleeping soundly.

"She will wake up later, she's just tired and needs more rest," Kane explained. "I also looked at her chart as I ran her a general check-up, I think it's best for her not to engage on so many projects in the future." He put down the knife he was holding, he was currently peeling her some apples for her to eat when she woke up.

"Did the allergy---" Alyx asked, but before he could finish his inquiry Kane shook his head.

"No, the allergy is not the reason. It's just her health is deteriorating because of us. As we know, she has very weak stamina. And I presume none of us is willing to cut ourselves off from her." Kane uttered in a serious tone. "If this continues, I don't think it will do her good."

"I don't want Rym to continue filming, let's talk to her when she wakes up," Alvan uttered weakly while not taking his eyes off her. He's been thinking the entire time he was here with her, although it was an impulsive decision, he was determined to make her quit. "Let's just make her stay at home, she doesn't need to work. I could provide her everything, she doesn't even need to step out of the house. She has us, she's not lacking resources and we could take care of Yarisa as well."

"I don't think she will comply with what you want." Kane said, "You know her, if any of us could control her, we won't be stuck in this polygamous relationship."

"But you said her health is not in good condition. Plus, those people who envy her are attacking her! And I can't even protect her. What if there is another attack? From different people?! Showbiz has a variety of people, Kane, and you can't monitor everyone." He bawled in frustration. "Even if she didn't do anything wrong, even if she's just living her life ---I haven't even seen her get mad at anyone! She was such a nice girl, but still, someone hurt her!"

"And you suggest to hide her from the world, is that it?" Alyx retorted with an evasive expression. "If she's a doll, I couldn't less agree with you. But she's a person, Alvan. And you are right, you couldn't protect her, I couldn't protect her and Kane can't protect her. Someone is trying to harm her." He added, Alvan shifted his eyes on Alyx and pressed his lips.

"If you know that, then why don't we protect her even more?"

"Because it's not her fault. Why will I hide her? Why would I let her suffer from the consequences of the culprit? Your idea of protection is just trapping her, Alvan."

"So, you want her to be exposed to danger, is that it?!"

"You're the one who told us that she's meant to be the brightest star ever in the entertainment industry. She might have started on becoming a celebrity because of Yasa but you saw her whenever she's performing. She's not meant to hide, she's meant to dazzle in the limelight." Kane intercepted, "She's happy in her job, and I'm happy if she's happy."

"Why can't anyone understand my intention?!" Alvan clenched his fist as his eyes clouded, "I'm scared to lose her! Aren't you two the same?!"
