"so Maya, who was that boy I saw you hugging, he's that wimp from the sports festival correct?"

"yeah? he's my friend" I say, I can tell that I'm about to be in trouble for something.

"I don't want you hanging around him anymore, you will only get better from surrounding yourself with those who are better than you, like that Todoroki kid for example."

"but mom-" I say getting angry

"no buts, you're forbidden from seeing him thats final." she scolds me.

"mom! he's ne of the few good things in my life right now please don't take this from me too" I say nearing tears.

"you need to focus on your training." she says looking away from me.

"GAUGH!" I yell slamming my fists onto the counter, I run out the front door.

"I'll go find her" my dad says chasing after me but I have already run too far for him to see where I have gone.

I walk over to Midoriya's apartment building to cool down. I reach out and ring the doorbell.

"hi Deku, do you mind if I chill here for a bit I need to calm down." he notices my puffy red eyes and bruised face.

"Oh my god, of course are you ok?" he asks me freaking out.

"It's my mom, she-" I cut myself off with full on tears and he pulls me through the door.

"oh hey Maya- oh my god are you ok!?" he mother notices me and also freaks out.

"do you want something to drink? eat?" she asks shoving food and water at me.

"Im fine really I just need to cool down" I say huffing.

"ok honey I'll give you some room" she says going into the kitchen.

"Maya, what happened?" Midoriya asks me worried.

"my mom saw us hugging earlier and, she forbade me from seeing you. she thinks your weak and unworthy or something. so I talked back to her for the first time in my life and ran out the door" I explain sniffing and he pulls me into a warm hug.

"It's ok Maya just let is all out" he says running his fingers through my hair.

my breathing eventually slows down and the sun sets over the horizon.

"it's getting dark, I should probably go. the longer I'm out the more angry she'll be." I say standing up.

"Wait! one more thing." he stands up chasing after me his face turning bright red.

he puts his arms around me and kisses me on the lips, my ears turn red and I feel the warmth of his embrace. 

we pull apart both of our faces bright red and I stare into his soul dumbfounded, I was not expecting that.

he notices my confusing expression and frantically starts apologizing.

"s-sorry, that j-just felts righ-" I cut him off by pulling him in for another kiss my heart racing. 

"don't apologize" I say once we pull apart and he pulls back a strand of hair from my face revealing my bruise from when my mom hit me. 

"ok I really gotta go now, bye" I say with the stupidest grin on my face.

on the walk home I came up with a great speech to say to my mom. I'm going to tell her that I refuse to stop seeing Midoriya. He's my best friend and I refuse to let him go. I think I realized this at the summer camp attack.
